In March, several outlets gleefully reported that ESPN was near collapse as a network. Conveniently, several of these reports came from competitors to ESPN who hope to capitalize and gain market share. Nonetheless, it is true that ESPN will be cutting $100 million in salaries -- most from very recognizable on-air talent -- in a cost-cutting move to shore up their bottom line.

Kneeling. 10% of the viewers left the NFL this year because of the anti-white anti-American kneeling promoted by ESPN.
Cable is costly. Can go to the internet only and find the shows and save $100+ a month.
Young people watch video games and binge on Netflix or Amazon. The whole traditional model of TV is old hat.
But that has been the ONLY reason why I have turned ESPN on at all in the past decade.
I used to watch Mike & Mike early in the morning before leaving for work. Mainly during the NFL season, pre-season and during the draft. Maybe its the corporate style that makes them act like girls. Whatever, it is nauseating and I’d rather watch the Weather Channel or re-runs of Counting Cars for the first cup of espresso black.
If Fox sports 1 were smart they would hire conservative sports pundits and commentators and go to the right of ESPN

Because I REFUSE to spend my valuable free time being lectured to about $hit that isn’t real — Stephen A. Smith stopped talking about sports and starting telling me how racist I was — DONE!!!
Literally, if it was not for college football, I would never turn ESPN on ever again.
I'll listen to snippets on my commute, when other stations are on station break. Not compelling radio in the least.

Agreed, though for me, it's college basketball. I don't start following the NBA until after the NCAA championship game.
Ditto: Haven’t watched ESPN in years. How much white guilt trash can they throw on me. I don’t give 2 flips about some poor oppressed kid, on scholarship, (worth 40 grand per year), who feels taken advantage of, who will quit the school prior to graduation, and continue to bad mouth the university that gave him every opportunity to succeed...sounds a lot like our current welfare system.
How about they hire non-political pundits and commentators?

Your either in it to make money (in which case you cater to your fans) or your in it for political statements (in which case you will need a lot of money to get out your message).

ESPN came out against Trump plus they became too damn party political and unfair!!! People saw how radically hateful and unfair they were to Tebow..a decent man who cherished his faith and exalted the likes of that queer Sam and that spiteful anti American ass SF quarterback kernap(something)...KARMA!!

Miss Steve Czaban in the mornings, as that was the best morning sports radio show, going.
Clay Travis is on from 6-9am on 200+ affiliates, and much better than Mike and Mike. Mike and Mike is brutal, as there are so many better alternatives.
