Portland to Put Homeless People in Homeowners’ Backyards ( re-run but the comments are funnier)

Jay Patriot • 5 hours ago This is absolutely hilarious! The hobos will lounge around their pod all day, smoking weed and drinking booze while they wait for the idiot homeowner to come home from work and feed them. This program will be fun to watch and I hope that neighbors with brains will chronicle this insanity and share it with the world. Also, I really like the idea of the see-thru pod that is depicted. Nothing nicer than looking out your window and seeing your hobo slamming his old lady, boppin' his boloney, shooting up heroin, smoking meth, etc etc. Too funny. This would make a hysterical movie except nobody would buy into the premise.

AgtOso Jay Patriot • 5 hours ago It is hilarious. What's up with the see-through "walls"?

Jay Patriot AgtOso • 5 hours ago I guess knowing when your hobo is home and what the hell your hobo is doing when he is home would be pretty damn important information to have. 3 • Reply•Share › Avatar AgtOso Jay Patriot • 5 hours ago Lol. I wonder if you get to "select" your guest. Some people are cat people, some dog people. I think the same would apply. People search long and hard for lawn ornaments. This is so phuggin funny.

“I would think that the city should provide a good flea dipping on your hobo so your dog doesn’t catch them from your hobo and bring them into your house.”

I haven’t laughed this hard in decades!

A test of 4 units, 200 square feet each, for $365,000 or just a little over $91,000 each, for a construction cost of a little over $450/sf. National costs are about $117/sf. Since this will be “free” to the homeless, you don’t suppose there might be an influx of a few more homeless people, do you? Naw...what could possibly go wrong.

I may get flamed, or banned, but just want to ask what others think.

Why can’t we round up homeless and put them somewhere? Put them somewhere where they will get help, but someplace where they have to go if they have no fixed address.

Why have we allowed vagrancy to get to such levels?

Some parts of San Francisco, which is very liberal with their homeless, smells like urine, due to critical numbers of such people.

It is not good for the people involved, nor good for society, to have all these people sleeping, and eating and every other function out in the streets.

If you have no place to live, I don’t understand why society has to just tolerate the situation. . Why?? To prove how liberal we are, how compassionate we are, we as a society have decided that doing nothing about homeless people is the best solution.

What is compassionate about letting people, some of whom are clearly not all there, live in the streets, exposed to the elements and exposed to criminals, getting hit by cars, and other hazards????

Sort of off topic, but recently, the mayor of Washington DC wanted to only provide homeless services to residents of the city of Washington. The reasoning was that the city doesn’t have the resources to help everyone from the entire Washington metropolitan area.

The irony here, which liberals would never see, is that how do you demonstrate that you are a Washington, DC resident, when you are homeless, and have no fixed address in the first place???

What could possibly go wrong? They'll be using your grill to cook Miss Kitty and burn your house down with you in it. The lice they bring in will be the least of your worries. Just wait until Bowser sniffs and eats the droppings and then licks your face. Wonder if the CDC has that down for a way to catch AIDS? When they're arrested for dealing from your backyard, your home will be confiscated. Little Suzy and Bobby will be trafficked. That new big screen tv will disappear within the hour and all your mail will be gone through and stolen. Can you say ID theft? Those little shacks won't hold up for 5 months much less the 5 years and it's yours hooey.

Why hasn't Hollyweid already don't this? They have the acreage. Oh, yeah, the Clooney's have been griping because they have to drive past a invaders' settlement on the way to their mansion in Italy or wherever it is.

Are the homeowners required to pick up Their bums droppings if when they let them roam, they go drop a duece in the neighborhood?

They’re gonna need double layered plastic gloves!

Surely, they’ll be able to come in to the “big house” to use the laundry, right??

Not flamed or banned, as far as I am concerned.

I’ve read your post several times and I’m working on a response.

In support.

Perhaps they could stay at the Gates million square foot mansion. Plenty o bedrooms and lots of baths too. Bill could certainly afford it and it is in his City and State, after all.

The mayor and all the council members who voted for this must be required to be the first ones to host the bums, I mean guests.

Won’t it be seen as discrimination to have the homeless live out back, as opposed to being in the main house? Will they go in the house to go to the bathroom, do laundry, eat dinner, etc?? Won’t it be seen as inhumane to have people live in the backyard instead of the house????

Only homeless people and overpaid gubmint employees will be left in Portland before very long.

They’re made for each other.

The idiot LIBs closed mental hospitals in the 60’s and70’s because they felt the crazy needed freedom. Freedom to be assaulted...to be raped...to be untreated...to die. Idiot LIBs. I suspect most of these LIB idiots were afraid that ghey would eventually be committed. Lunatics all.
