Because immigrants are not evenly distributed throughout the country, however, some schools have significantly higher percentages of immigrant children. The report breaks down the data by census units called public use microdata areas, which are roughly between 100,000 and 200,000 residents and generally respect county or city boundaries. The average number of public school students in each PUMA is about 20.600

So, if they got rid of each and every single one of them, I could potentially see a 23-25% reduction in my property taxes?

If that's the case, where and when do we start picking them up to send them back to their homelands, that they miss so much?

If they are illegal aliens— they need to get OUT of our schools and our country.

They’re all illegal. Never saw any, where I live until about a year ago. Now you see them in Walmart with 2or 3 kids and another on the way. All those property tax dollars, down the damn drain.

With the need for extra counselors, and English as a second language teachers and translators, those kids are more expensive and take away from American children.

Yet another headline designed to demean the anti-ILLEGAL-immigrant movement by implication.

How the he11 do so many people not get the “illegal” part?

The Ministry of Propaganda loves to co-mingle illegal aliens with immigrants.
The savings of removing the illegal aliens would surprise most people.
Education is but one area and the savings would be huge.

Not only do our property taxes have to pay for more children in school, but the quality of education our children receives goes down. When teachers have to devote extra time to children who don’t speak English fluently, it obviously takes time away from the other children. Here in California if you even bring up the topic, you’re called a racist.

Headline games for the snowflake minded.

there is a big difference with legal and illegal.

legal is a non issue.

if this is illegal then this is a burden on American taxpayers. In essence stealing.

Besides that, the classroom space would be increased so that there would be no need for the building of more Taj MaHal’s that go for today’s schools.

In California it is over 50%.

Demographics is Destiny. In 50 years, California will be 75% Hispanic.

Demography is destiny.

If we got rid of illegals, I would imagine the percentage would go down considerably. We won't be America when those kids grow up.

I am so tired of every news outlet using the word immigrant for illegals. They are not immigrants! Immigrants come into the US legally.

Just one of the many, many ways to bring down the cost of education and property taxes in this country.
