That guy was a great guitar player until he changed his last name to Nicks. I never got that.

I am going to try it out. It’s one of her songs I have never listened to- even though its the title track to an album.
That being said, “Leather and Lace” and “Stop, Dragging My Heart Around.” are great tracks.

I have very few female singers in my music library, however, Stevie Nicks has a quality in her voice that I really like. I can’t quantify what exactly it is, but I do like her voice. The wiccan thing? Not so much. Lol

Most musicians like this one are leftist freaks and rabid Trump haters and don’t deserve one tenth of an ounce of recognition or promotion. They represent dirtbags to us.

Every time I think of her, I think of the movie, “School of Rock”. ;-)
But I am a fan. I never purchased her solo work but have everything she did with Fleetwood Mac on vinyl.

Stevie was scorching hot back in the day.

I’ve never really heard Stevie opine on politics so she stays in my rotation. I know she does a lot for injured troops or did at one time.

Stevie Nicks has a quality in her voice that I really like. I cant quantify what exactly it is, but I do like her voice. I think her voice has an edge, almost a percussive quality, similar to that of Kenny Loggins.
Which is probably why they were paired into the duet Whenever I Call You Friend, back in 1978. That song really displays the similarities in their two voices.
Others with that edge are Curt Smith of Tears For Fears, as well as Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli.

Maybe. But I'm willing to cut her some slack:
Stevie Nicks says good things for the Vets
...random thought from Nicks Usually in interviews, well ask if the artist has anything they want to add. The answer usually is no. Stevie Nicks had something to add. She took time from her busy schedule recently to visit extremely injured soldiers returning from war at the Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C. I spent the whole day with them, she said. It opened my eyes to the fact that theres a lot of kids out there that are so injured their lives will never be the same. If you happen to be in a city with a military hospital, get a plate of cookies together and go visit them because they are so isolated and so lonely. It broke my heart. It was an eye-opening experience for me. It really doesnt matter how you feel about war. What matters is that these kids are paying a price and theyre alone and theyre lonely. Thats what I would like people to do. Take some candy and spend a little time with them. Youd be amazed what it means to them.

Ive never really heard Stevie opine on politics so she stays in my rotation. She was once asked how she felt about Bill Clinton, while appearing on some late-night talk show. It might have been David Letterman, or maybe Jay Leno.
She paused for several seconds, and then carefully said something to the effect that "perhaps he might be a little young for the job."
That said, she was huge for Hillary Clinton to beat DJT.

Thanks for pointing this out, Gamecock! Not only does she visit veterans, she purchases new iPods for them and fills them with thousands of songs.
"Stevie Nicks visits were lengthy and were never rushed. She genuinely took the time out of her day to spend it with our nations wounded soldiers. During her visits she would distribute iPods filled with music she personally helped to pick out for our troops along with other items to help entertain and increase the moral of the patients during their lengthy recovery and rehabilitation time. The visits were very personal and did not involve the entourage of photographers and press personnel some other celebrities have accompany them on their visits. They were more one on one visitations as if she was an old friend stopping by saying hello."
More from that same article
here. Here is another
nice article. From what I have read, she has been doing this for many years and has always been very low-key about it. Not using as a publicity stunt, in other words.
I don't know anything about her politics, and frankly I don't care. She is taking a lot of her own time to do something good for our injured veterans, and that is more than I can say for my own self.
Thanks again, Gamecock!
