Democrats clearly want to play hard ball and have ginned up this Russian controversy in hopes of at forcing President Trump and/or AG Sessions to appoint a special prosecutor who would tie up his administration for years. I think Trump should oblige with a Special Prosecutor to investigate Hillary's treasonous e-mail fiasco. Make the Democrats, including ex-Mr present O'bummer play defense!
Could we add the Uranium sale deal from 2010 onto this prosecutor list as well?

Agreed. This should keep the Democrats busy for a long time. And an occasional leak from those in charge of the investigation might be nice too just to add spice and keep it interesting. After all, Democrats are okay with leaks.
I was thinking Sessions would do the actual appointing, and, of course, he takes his orders from Trump.

Absolutely not. The voters want: economic improvement, jobs, lower terrorism risk, better, more affordable health care, and a secure border. The Democrats are shooting themselves in both feet by ignoring every single critical issue and being hysterical obstructionists. Trump should let them go on self-immolating, while he MAGAs.
If Trump was going to do this, it has probably been done already. There will be no formal announcement of a special prosecutor because the Federal independent counsel statute expired in 1999.
I’ve assumed Trump has refrained from prosecuting the e-mail scandal because he was hoping to get them to at least nominally cooperate in getting his agenda accomplished. My secondary suggestion that he pass along the back-channel threat that he was considering appointing a prosecutor for Hillary and co. takes this into consideration. Ultimately, this Russian BS has got to stop.
I’m still scratching my head trying to figure out why the Democrats have latched on to the Russians as the boogie men here. I don’t know 3 people who have anything negative to say about Russia. These idiots may as well be calling for investigations into the Trump family’s role in the third Punic War.
Also investigate obama, Jarrett and Soros.

If Trump wanted to really throw the world into a frenzy, he should accuse Russia of wanting to go back to Soviet style world domination and accuse the Democrats with colluding with Russia to destroy America.
Then back this up with Clinton and the uranium, the Russian ambassador sitting with the rats at Trump’s congress speech and other things the Democrats have done over the last 8 years to support Russian expansionism.
This will shut everyone up, especially McCain and Graham when it comes to Syria.

I want Trump to go thermonuclear on them all. I want to see them crumble and start ratting each other out. I want to see them killing each other for ratting each other out. I want to see Cankles and The Bent One behind bars or swinging from a gallows rope.
Here is my impression, for what it’s worth. The Democrats are VERY vulnerable in 2018. (They have 25 senate seats to defend, vs 9 for the GOP.) Right now, the Democrats are playing to their hardcore base and pretty much no one else.
The desire to see criminal Democrats prosecuted is almost solely confined to the conservative base. Voters in general didn’t put Trump over the top to see a lot of special prosecutors. They elected him to MAGA.
For the next two years Trump will concentrate on keeping campaign promises and turning the country around in such a way as dramatically benefits the masses. He wants to clean Dem clocks in 2018.
I speculate that we may see more legal action leading up to 2020. That would damage the national brand, set the base on fire (with enthusiasm), and by then would not be seen as a substitute for getting the economy roaring, etc.

Do you ever visit The_Donald subreddit? There are several very active threads dissecting the question of why the Democrats are obsessed with Russia right now. Primarily, from what I gather, it is thought to be a diversion. It just came out that Obama created an illegal DOJ slush fund to funnel BILLIONS into leftwing causes. The redditors see the Russia hysteria as a way of keeping the slush fund obscure. No idea if they’re right or not.
