Hey all I can tell you is that military pilots have effed up and landed on the taxiway there also.

Mr.GG2 said that even though the rules state you don’t cross paths with any other aircraft taking off or landing Ford was not really jeopardizing the commercial jet as he had about a hundred feet of clearance.

No big deal. 737 held short of the runway, but really should have held short of the taxi way as well. Ford lined up on the correct runway and goofed on final lining up on taxiway instead. Nobody was in danger and he landed a bit long of the threshold seeing the 737 in front of him before executing a final descent. He did not see it soon enough to declare a missed approach which is what he should have done. He will be given an evaluation by the FAA and could have his license suspended or be required to take a fitness test before being allowed to continue flying.

The Husky is NOT an experimental plane. Manufactured by Aviat of Afton, WY. Over 650 have been sold. Experiential is either a home built or former fighter aircraft.

Please. My post dealt only with John Denver’s plane. I nowhere discussed Ford or his plane.
