**He called home to see if his mother had made some kind of mistake. Her reply? "That's the trash you were supposed to take out." **

I don’t understand this young generation, who put EVERYTHING that happens to them out there for everyone to see. I can’t quite figure it out, but what’s at the heart of this behavior doesn’t strike me as a good thing.

Almost as concerning - Who leaves a note for hisself - “Clean out my right ear?”

What a drama queen. Some people will do ANYTHING to get on TV. She only spent $6.50, so it couldn’t have been more than a pound or so.

Thanks to Facebook and other social media, they’ve come to believe that society actually cares what they’re doing at any given moment.

OTOH, the kid doesn't seem to be a *snowflake* and has a sense of humor.

It's funny-cute. Might even be a *teachable moment*.

As a mom when my two were in college, those boxes would indeed have been filled with cookies and other comfort items for my sometimes homesick kids!

Teachable moments are best left in person and at the moment of!

I’m glad he has a sense of humor about it. Turning a mom care package into a 3D nagging harangue isn’t really a good thing. Makes her seem like a shrew even if the guy had been lazy and not done what he was supposed to do. Maybe text, email or a phone call would have been better.

LOL!

When my oldest was in 7th grade, I took him to school every morning. He was consistently late and making me late to work.

So, I told him that going forward I was leaving at 7:30 regardless of what he was wearing, etc.

The next day, he went to school in his pajamas.

The day after that, he beat me to the car dressed and ready to roll.

You know I got crap from the Susie Homemakers for being mean...

No, this makes the point. It's good parenting.

For example: I have a daughter that went through a slamming door phase when she was 13. I removed her bedroom door and put it in the garage for week or two. No discussion, cajoling or begging worked. Loving action solved the problem, she got the message, and her parents got respect.

Fake. Why is the trash so clean? No egg shells, bones, coffee grounds, table scraps. Nothing messy. Someone looking for their 15 minutes of fame.

I assumed it was the trash lying around in his room that he was asked to get rid of. Maybe mom spoke her instruction into his right ear lol.

That's what I don't get about Twitter. Why do they believe that anyone gives a crap about every thought that pops into their heads? I know, I know, people do care. Personally, I regard it as some sort of mental defect.

Looks like "Check" not "Clean". I agree, though. Why the note?

lots of adults do this also.
Their illness, their dates, pets, dinner out, it is all out there for the world to see.
I am very private so I do not understand this.
