How dare you introduce truth and logic into the story?!

I agree. One of the side effects of the interment of the Japanese on the West Coast, is that it probably saved some of their lives. The press could not print photos of American KIAs before early 1943. Some of the first printed pictures of American dead soldiers are from the invasion of Buna. Their bodies half buried in the sand. I can imagine the outrage against the Japanese when the American public got its first look at the true cost of war, realizing it was Japanese soldiers that had cost those men their lives. I could easily see mobs out looking to get even with those “dirty Japs” in places like Los Angele or San Bernidino. JMO

“... that EO was so bogus and disgraceful.”

Desperate, times, desperate measures. Sometimes taking a wrong action than dithering and taking no action at all. We certainly should have learned that with Bill Clinton.

wrong action IS BETTER than letting your thoughts get ahead of your fingers. Sorry about that.

Roosevelt’s actions were not without cause. During Pearl Harbor, a Jap plane came down on one of the small Hawaiian islands. Some of the Japanese residents rallied behind the pilot instead of turning him promptly over. Little did they know their actions would influence US policy in such a major way.

All Trump is trying to do is keep NON-citizens from coming here, yet he is treated like Hitler.

Well, not quite. President Trump is trying to vet non-citizens trying to come here. If they pass the vetting, then they're in. He's not doing a blanket ban; he is simply checking on who is trying to enter to see if they are a threat or not. Much different than an outright ban. What FDR did was wrong. What President Trump did is legal and right.
