The network reached out to Trump’s staff and invited the president to fill out a bracket on-camera, just as President Barack Obama had the past several years. The network recently received word that Trump has passed. An ESPN spokesman said in a statement: “We expressed our interest to the White House in continuing the presidential bracket. They have respectfully declined.”
White House spokeswoman Hope Hicks said in an email to The Washington Post: “We look forward to working with ESPN on another opportunity in the near future.” Neither the White House nor ESPN had any details on what other opportunities might lie down the road.
The news didn’t exactly come as a surprise to ESPN executives. They knew with a change of president, the annual feature might not continue. Obama hosted an ESPN crew each March and filled out brackets for both the men’s and women’s tournaments. Two of those brackets are now property of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History.
I didn’t hire him to talk or watch sports. I hired him to Make America Great Again.
Obama was SUCH a better president!!!

Oh wow, let me mark those bracket exhibits on “must-see” list for my next Smithsonian Trip.....
The funniest part was watching Obama being fooled into thinking anyone really cared what he thought about sports.
Unlike those before him, his nose is to the grindstone, not smudged on a plate glass window, on the outside looking in.

It was a joke. 67 games to pick, either you would shortchange the bracket by guessing or just picking the higher seeds and bigger names, or you would shortchange the job of being president.

You may have misunderstood my intent for posting that... I was making the point that barry was NEVER Presidential, although Donald is VERY Presidential, (more so every passing day) and would not consider lowering the status of the Office he serves to appear on ESPN or whatever.
See the contrast? Barry was so dumb, and so self-absorbed, he thought the POTUS should sit around and watch B-Ball as the world burns!

My favorite interview was with a sports guy who asked Obama who was his favorite Chicago White Sox player. You know, Obama lived on the south side of Chicago and supposedly went to ‘Cominsky Park’ a lot. He then pivoted to the Cubs, but couldn’t name a Cubby player either. Then Obama pointed out that he actually grew up in Hawaii, so his closest baseball team was the Oakland A’s. Yep, you guessed it, he couldn’t name anyone who had played for the A’s either. My second favorite Obama sports moment was learning that it took 20 tries for him to make the basket that was shown on TV for some basketball story. He used to pretend that he would work out with NBA players, but never defined what ‘work out’ really meant ; )
If PRESIDENT Trump even thought about taking time to engage in this silliness, the fascist “democracy” media would be throwing tantrums all over the place.
He was and is an overgrown student council geek who thought speechifying and resolution-passing substituted for governance.
He is, for all practical purposes, a Pacific Islander with two left feet, which makes the black magazine ‘one of us’ covers even more hilarious.
Dope smoking kids do that not adult presidents.
Or maybe President Trump wants to keep his brackets PRIVATE.
