She's apparently been married twice: to Ryan Reynolds (probably the guy you're thinking of) from 2008-2011 and to Romain Dauriac from 2014-2016. She has a daughter with Dauriac.
Perhaps what she said here has something to do with those marriages failing.

Funny, I noticed that awhile ago Cameron Diaz said basically the same thing as ScarJo. Honestly, I feel sad for these people who get sucked into this deception.
I reminded of the adage that charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain (Prov. 31:30). These woman are very attractive, but beauty fades. Just look at the pictures of Bridget Bardot in her prime compared to a more recent photo of her. Sadly, age has not been kind to her.
So for these women who have been sold a bill of goods they will go from bed to bed. On balance, the men will be quite happy to take what these women give, but at some point the outer beauty of these women will fade and they will no longer be as desirable as they are now. Child bearing will become past (perhaps a good thing) and they will enter their older stages of their lives with a big bank account but emotionally, spiritually, and physically all worn out, and perhaps alone outside of their hired help and hangers on.
And then the grave. Enjoy it now. It is fleeting.

Being a little older and a lot wiser than Scarlett I would suggest that containing my primal urges in exchange for stability, support, and shared family rearing responsibilities is a trade that I have chosen for the past 30 years. Now that I am grey, and balding, it seems to be easier.

She might be right... as you might be too. The temptation to look and stray is prevalent. Conversely, hetero is a natural state, thus, we don’t have the same level of temptation, if any, to bat for the other team...

She is only saying the same thing the bible says about the natural man.
She is absolutely correct. Monogamy is not natural. A lot of things that Scripture teaches us to do or not do is not natural. It’s because the spiritual man is at constant war with the flesh - the “natural man”.

Marriage long term requires laying down one’s life for another which is the ultimate definition of love - given by the Lord Jesus Himself - “no greater love hath any man than this - that he lay down his life for another.
Love is not a fleeting emotion that changes with circumstances....it is sacrifice of self for another, and the character to commit to that for life.
Extremely rare in today’s world.......where everything is about me - my needs, my wants, my desires.....the very opposite of love.
I Corin. 13 is the best description of love ever written; the death of the Lord Jesus on the cross is the ultimate demonstration of it.
