Jerry's mother was an AMERICAN of HUNGARIAN descent and a practitioner of the Jewish religion.

His father, a Catholic, was born in Puerto Rico, but once he landed on the mainland, and stayed here, he was just an AMERICAN; as are ALL Puerto Ricans!

And the thing is, he looks like a Hungarian sheepherder of old, NOT at all Puerto Rican; unlike his younger brother, who looks like their father.
