KingLudd’s grandmother was born a month after Kittyhawk. She passed in January, 2016. She was 112 and was the 25th oldest person in the US at that time according to Wiki’s list of supercentarians. RIP Gram

We are doing Hospice care at home for my Mom who would be 103 in September, however, she is now fading pretty fast and don’t think she will make it to her next birthday.

The oldest living person, Emma Morano of Italy, born Nov. 29, 1899, eats eggs every day. She is believed to be the only person born in the 1800s still alive. There are two others born in the 19th century still alive: Violet Brown of Jamaica (b. March 10, 1900) and Nabi Takuma of Japan (b. Aug. 4, 1900).
Currently the oldest person alive in the US is Delphine Gibson, born August 17, 1903, in South Carolina, now living in Pennsylvania. The 25 oldest living people in the US are all women.

Typo in that last post: that should be Tajima, not Takuma.
To: SIDENET
But you never read of the second-oldest person dying.

Impossible. As soon as the oldest dies then there is a new oldest person, and so on...That's why it can happen every week.
There is always an oldest person in the U.S.

Sound be easy to find a replacement; according to your federal government, there are more than six million active social security numbers for individuals over the age of 112.And 240% of them are active Dem voters.

The actual answer was hot running water. That or the flush toilet.
Central heat is right up there too.
