according to many accounts, isn’t far from the truth. Result? A movie I’m glad I saw
Mark Steyn discussed it on an episode of his CRTV (subscription $100/yr) program.

His take (I see few movies) is that the producers probably intended the movie to be more unfavorable to Kroc than it came out being. He thought that the casting made it come out that way.

Around Academy Award voting time the movies up for awards are still in the theatres so the studios send out DVDs to the Academy members so they can screen the movies in the comfort of their own home. In spite of a slew of safeguards that gets tougher every year copies of the movies get leaked to the Internet so you have a dvd quality movie to watch at home for free. The website listed is one where you can watch it online, fine if you have a decent connection. There are also private sites that post a downloadable torrent so you get the entire movie on your hard drive and are more flexible with your options. Torrents are better if you have a nosy internet provider.

Torrents are markers that connect you with seeders, people who already have the movie on their hard drives. The actual website has no content and the movie is spread out over hundreds of places so if one goes down another immediately takes its place. That makes it darn near impossible to shut down. Torrents are doing to the movie industry what mp3s did to the music industry except that Hollywood can't go on tour to make money doing live performances of their work.

That is the 5 cent explanation of screeners and torrents. A search can always help if you want more details.

Getting there ..... but all I watch is Fox Business because I don’t have one America and old game shows because they remind me of my mother and they do challenge the brain somewhat and some public TV shows I can’t remember the last time I watched anything on NBC ABC or CBS

I do what I can LOL but I do say that does feel good to stand up for your principles! I am such a cynic that the fuss that’s being made over Matthew McConaughey and what’s his name Morgan Freeman saying that we should support Donald Trump I think they are just two of a few that think that if they act like they’re not as crazy as the rest of Hollywood, people will go see their movies and they won’t lose as much money. I’m not buying it...they were all fans of Hillary I have no belief in my heart that they now they’re saying we should give Trump a chance I think it’s BS and they think we’re dumb enough to fall for it.

Levidia is an online movie aggregator website based in Switzerland. A screener is a DVD of a feature movie that was sent out to movie critics prior to the release in theaters.

I saw pretty much the same movie in my Marketing Class in 1975. It was about how he sold Milkshake Machines and was curious as to why these two brothers ordered so many.

I have found that when you watch movies off the net it is better to stream them than down load. The only time I ever got a warning from my internet provider was downloadlng “Wolf of Wall Street”. It was an Academy Award copy that must have had a serial number. I got a nasty note from my provider for downloading it.

A movie I’m glad I saw but “Fences” was much better.

A great play and movie, but at the end, I pretty much just got out of my seat, stood there for a minute and went "phew". Not the feel good movie of the year, but great in that awful way.

I was reading another article about Anthony Weiner and what he was going to do for a job now that he is no longer a politician. One of the things someone said he could do is have a hot dog stand, and name it, Whata........! Sorry, couldn't resist. :-)

I use linux so it’s not a concern.

Best to have an adblocker installed or your will get redirects sometimes to the point of having to reboot.

The server with the least hassle is called Wooty. I don’t view anything unless it’s hosted by that server. You’ll see the server names to the right of the screen in the list that pops up when you select a movie.

A movie is not an executable file so it is harmless. The bigger problem is sites that want you to do things like download their special movie viewer or click on a link to get to the movie. That is why I download my movies from private sites. Everything is prescreened and you know it is 100% safe and working properly (audio in sync with the video, proper aspect ratio, etc.).

Agree completely. But Viola Davis and Denzel Washington made it worth it.

Torrents have been a lifesaver for me and I've been downloading them for many years with no problems. Basically anything that is on video can be found if you know where to look so we have watched everything from first run movies to my wife's favorite British soap opera within 30 minutes of it's being shown in Britain while we were living in Georgia. You couldn't possibly watch all the content that is available on even one decent torrent site. All for the cost of whatever you pay for your Internet service.

If you want to know the story of Ray Kroc & the McDonalds, see The Founder. Michael Keaton gives an award winning performance of a ruthless & driven guy.
