Seattle federal judge halts enforcement of Trump's immigration order

In an early test of President Trump's so-called "Muslim ban," a federal judge in Seattle ruled Friday to halt enforcement of parts of Trump’s week-old executive order on immigration. U.S. District Judge James Robart ruled on a motion by the state of Washington for a temporary restraining order halting the parts of the order that block entry to the U.S. by refugees and certain immigrants from some Muslim-majority countries. Robart's ruling will temporarily halt enforcement of several provisions of Trump's controversial executive order. Attorneys for the federal government are expected to appeal the ruling. Friday’s was the first hearing in Washington state’s lawsuit filed Monday against Trump; state Attorney General Bob Ferguson argues the order is discriminatory and illegal. Amazon and Expedia filed declarations in support of Washington’s case, and the state of Minnesota moved to join the case Wednesday. Following the ruling, Ferguson said Robart's decision will provide immediate relief to those targeted in Trump's order. "I'm certain the president will not like this decision," Ferguson said. "But it is his job, it is his obligation to honor it, and I'll make sure he does."

This is a NEW (as of 2/3/17) ruling against Trump's recent immigration policy. Just as the article says: "Attorneys for the federal government are expected to appeal the ruling."

There is no authority given by the Constitution to do this.

So the state of Washington and Amazon set our refugee policy? Again, I think not.

Take them all to those talcum-powder dry parts of Oklahoma and fence them in. Presto: compliance with the judges order as well as Trump’s protection for our own citizens.

there is ZERO constitutional basis for any such ruling. It is judicial anarchy, pure and simple.

If Soros/CAIR/Saudi/Pelosi will now just be able to go find politicized or compromised “judges” to issue whatever damned “rulings” they wish, then our once-great republic will be beyond even DJT’s ability to restore.

“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” President John Adams

The authority of this District Judge is his district only. No other district judge is bound by his order and the order is not enforceable outside his district.

Trump should have any refugees heading to this district be rerouted to some other airports outside the district (and therefore outside this judge's jurisdiction) until Trump can get the order overturned on appeal.

There is no authority given by the Constitution to do this.

Who needs authority. President Trump will get his first failure unless he charge the judge with interfering with Federal authority and arrest this judge on treason. Never do it.
