Time magazine, in an issue that hits stands Friday, asks whether Trump’s chief strategist Steve Bannon is “the second most powerful man in the world.” Perhaps.
In the piece, Time observes that “Bannon has a mind-meld with Trump” and “has the tools to become as influential as any staffer in memory.”
Time shared a few takes on Bannon from some ex-colleagues.
He sees everything as a war. Every time he feels crossed, he makes it his business to destroy his opponent,” says former Breitbart editor Ben Shapiro.
Earlier this week, the New York Times also focused on his vast influence with an article interrogatively headlined “President Bannon?” The author wrote that “we’ve never witnessed a political aide move as brazenly to consolidate power as Stephen Bannon.”

I've thought that, too. The disheveled hip look does not work well on any but younger men (actually, I don't like it at all, but it is particularly egregious on middle-aged and older men). When guys go gray, the unshaven look just makes them look like bums. And don't get me started on middle-aged balding men with pony-tails.
Bannon needs a clean-cut makeover.

Oh, I have no doubt that they did. But when I've seen him on TV and in other photos, I have thought he does not wear the shabby look well.
They all need some rest. I don’t think any of them were aware of what it would be like trying to keep up with President Trump

I’ll settle for Bannon’s mind and philosophy. The guy is a genius, and not just in politics. Every interview I’ve read with him is a home run.
(But I’m not in disagreement with your point about the ‘look’)
