Atlantis Rising, a new documentary by Titanic director James Cameron, argues the mythical city is the biblical Tarshish.
Breaking News Israel reports the lost city of Atlantis has been found, and its straight out of the Bible at least according to a stunning new National Geographic documentary.
Emmy-winning journalist Simcha Jacobivici worked with Cameron on the newly released film.
BIN reported the two followed ancient clues through Greece, the Mediterranean, and the Atlantic on a search for Atlantis.
Along the way, they discover mind-blowing biblical connections to Atlantis, including a 3,000 year old carving that ties the mythical city to the Jewish Temple, the report said.
So often, when you tell people you are looking for Atlantis, they think it is a crazy project because they think it is a thing that was made up by Disney or Hollywood, a city full of mermaids, Jacobovici told BIN.
He explained the references to the city are ancient.

It also records King Solomon fought battles alongside the kings of Tarshish.
And it is to Tarshish that Jonah fled rather than accept Gods instructions to go to Nineveh, BIN noted.
And the report cited other revelations.

Plato tells us that the Egyptians told him that the city was OUTSIDE the Pillars of Hercules i.e. in the Atlantic.
Atlantis has been found.
It is on the beach south of Cameron’s hideaway on Hollister Ranch.
Why is the general public prevented from accessing the beaches at Hollister Ranch?
Seagulls want to know.
I think Simcha Jacobivici is The Naked Archaeologist. I used to love watching his show - haven’t seen it for awhile.

It isn’t? Phooey then.
I loved that series as well.
If its the same location I’ve seen alluded to in other programs (yeah, I watch such stuff. It’s fun. Don’t judge me) it’s on the south west coast of Spain in a large flat plain (wonder if it rains?) so it is the same place, it’s outside the gates of Herc.
Plato provided a lot of other info and makes it clear that it was an island. Of course, Edgar Casey had a lot to say about it, too.
Ooh, thanks. Now I’m off to find a site that I’ll click on that has the story...
Yeah but... Plato was a Greek and Greeks couldn’t even figure out proper sex limits, so I tend to ignore them, whenever possible. :)
Interesting, but I am skeptical of anything $imcha Jacobovici is involved with
I though Atlantis found off the coast of Cuba?
Maybe there were a lot of ‘Atlantises?’
A casino in the Bahamas is linked to the Temple?
It couldn’t just be that Cameron is trying to gin up ratings for his documentary that contains no proof, but lots of speculations. This is just like a UFO or Bigfoot search. Will it contain footage of people looking amazed, while not showing what they are amazed over?
Documentaries or movies of historical significance are my favorites as well. ;)
Another recent and excellent documentary you might enjoy, that I highly recommend, is "Patterns of Evidence: The Exodus".
