The party leadership are nothing but cynical opportunists. Their voters are rabid card-carrying Stalinists, but the people at the top of the dem party don’t believe in anything besides grabbing influence/power for the sake of selling it off to the highest bidder down the road. Corruptocrats or Kleptocrats, I’d call them.
This is one of the most succinct and well-reasoned descriptions I’ve seen of the current collectivist/individualist divide in our society.
The collectivists, or at least some of them, have noble intentions but they’re chasing a will-o-the-wisp. Might as well pee in a hurricane as try to recover marxism from the ash heap.
The Democrat Leaders only believe in holding on to their power.They believe that they can continue to ride the tiger to infinity and he will never turn and eat them.
Cultural Marxism rages on. Economic Marxism, far from dead, hides as a thief undetected, waiting only for a societal collapse so it can seize power and return to its former height of infamy.
