I am struck by the speakers’ obsessive use of profanity. I think there’s a deeper meaning here.
As a strategy, the profanity certainly limits the audience, I don’t think they’re attempting to influence us at all. Perhaps they’re filling a void. Not enough F words on CNN, maybe.
“We have no ideas, no workable solutions, so we’ll just let our own know how angry we are.” And that’s their only goal.
Clearly our opposition is being led by people whose upbringing has taught them that, to get what they want, all they need to do is curse and throw things. They’re going to be further disappointed.
I’d say we are witnessing the last gasps of a defeated ideology.
