For anyone who appears to fit the description of “Gang Member”, I stay 30 feet away if at all possible.
That keeps my options open.
Anyone who wants to be treated well in society had best not set off “Gang Member” alarms in the normal population.
And, “Gang Member” is not race based. There are gangs of every color. Whether or not YOU appear to be one, I can’t control.
Hey, they are just crime monitors, who only report that a crime is being committed. “A crime is being committed!”
“other than intervene and stop, “ - hardly sounds like “call the police”. And you can easily call the police and also film the thing.
If he wanted to say you should call the police, he could have said “report the fight”, rather than use the words “intervene and stop”.
Although there’s a thing that does need to be discussed, people who are part of the mob who are there to videotape and get hits on social media. But that doesn’t seem to be what he’s addressing here either.
I was home alone one twilight evening and heard a noise I didn’t recognize but thought it might have been a car accident. I jumped in my car. There were about 10 kids in formal wear and every one of them were on their phones. I asked if anyone had called 911 and no, not one of them had called.
They had to life flight one of the occupants of the vehicle that wasn’t at fault in the accident.
