Yeah but you do not expect a child that young would be a mummy already. But then again we are talking about Muslim societies. 8>)

___________

I hope you are historically joking this was way before islam and Christianity.

Just playing on the mummy word game by utilizing the fact that they were among the societies that adopted Islam coupled with the fact that their prophet took a young bride, though not quite that young. Perhaps predating Islam is was acceptable to go that young and Islam upped the age limit a little.

So it was just a mashup of times, religions and beliefs, all in an attempt to keep the mummy game going.

But thanks, I was aware of that fact.

Sorry, I work with some people who are historically ignorant and it was a reflex.

No problem. Must not have been a good joke on my part since I had to explain it. 8>)

"...a tiny Egyptian mummy, long thought to be the remains of a hawk..."

I'd be interested to know if any of the scientists who thought she was a hawk are among those declaring human-caused climate change to be "settled science."

That baby had big feet.

The tiny sarcophagus was examined in a CT scanner at KIMS Hospital. The research is being carried out at Kent Institute of Medicine and Surgery Hospital as part of a Heritage Lottery funded £78,700 ($98,000) redevelopment of the museum's Ancient Civilizations gallery
