“I gave up the NFL this year when they gave up respecting the anthem and flag of the nation they claim to be the football league of.”

Reassess your opinion.

90% of the NFL players are respectful toward veterans and the national anthem. The a-holes falling down on respect are some leftist owners, a few black a-holes and that filthy traitor, NFL commissioner Roger Goddell.

The league should have put their foot down immediately and did not.
The commissioner and owners allowed it to spread.

Wow. What a boring lineup with both the Raiders and Fins missing their starting QBs. the only good matchup is Giants-Pack.

The Pats really have no chance at beating anyone this weekend.

The Raiders are starting a rookie QB who has never started before in a playoff game against one of the top rated NFL defenses. The Raiders will not win this game.

Texans 16-9 over the Raiders.

That may very well the most boring game in NFL History.

The Raiders offense strength this season was actually their running game, 7th best in the NFL. That against the Texans 11th best run defense. The Texans have one of the worst offenses in the NFL. Certainly not a slam dunk for the Texans.

The Raiders offense strength this season was actually their running game, 7th best in the NFL in yardage (their offense was 20th, not that great). The Texans are 11th against the run, so the Raiders could move the ball on the ground unless a complete lack of an effective passing game upsets their running chances. The game could be fun to watch when the Raiders have the ball.

Dolphins could be another story. They were 8th best in rushing this season but I don’t know how much losing their starting QB will hurt their running game either.

Both teams will try to run the ball. Smashmouth football. Boring perhaps.

The Raiders still look good against the generally weak Texans IMO even without QB Carr.

They didn't look good this time. I think losing Carr took the heart out of the team.

Maybe so, but IMO, I think the Raiders’ brain trust missed a couple of important things.

1) the Raiders were the NFL’s 7th-ranked in rushing offense (yardage) against the Texans 11th-ranked rush defense.

2) the Raiders (with Carr) were 20th-ranked passing offense against the Texans’ 2nd-ranked pass defense.

I said I thought the Raiders would lose if they passed too much and I think that’s exactly what they did.
