I like blue. It’s my favorite color. But consider: the Stars and Stripes are the Red, White, and Blue.
A flag that was based on the Sons of Liberty flag of red and white stripes. You will notice that the red stripes out number the white.. Red is the top stripe.
The commies came to be over a hundred years after our founding. Why should WE have to change our colors because the commies stole one of the colors for their own ends. They can change.
I used to think that as well, but then George Lucas, Walter Murch, and Chris Taylor all had to open their big fat mouths and reveal that, no, we were deluded.
On the contrary, our wills mean everything, which is why right now nothing but hero dims are doing well.
Maybe in terms of the election cycle, sure, and I agree our wills definitely meant something there. But in terms of the actual writing of the episode? No, our wills meant absolutely nothing there. Here’s the deal, when dealing with the creation of a story and/or anything like that, unless you’re willing to oust the creator in some fashion and directly take over his or her work, only the creator’s will matters at all regarding the message that’s being used. If I had a different view of Star Wars than the creators, I would have gone over to Disney, got them fired, forcibly take over production, and make sure Star Wars had nothing but Conservative Writers who made sure it is nothing less than conservative.
Fair enough. Good point.

There were scenes where a row of stormtroopers would be firing their laser guns at a good guy, all missing. Then the good guy turns around, fires his laser (machine) gun, and all dozen stormtroopers are hit and immediately fall to their deaths.
Star Wars is set in future . . .
So it is easy to see that they used the eight year presidency of Donald Trump to model the hero after . . . and the stormtroopers - GOP-e and democrats - of course!
I’ve yet to see something from them stick to the Donald and one single tweet mows down a whole column of them.
It’s a beautiful thing!
