I bet Comcast getting sued over this
Maybe people should slow down in bad weather?
Narrow rural road snow and ice looks to me like this is cause more by the drivers traveling to fast for conditions.
If one had the actual distance of visibility one might be able to make a case.
Several vehicles had no trouble.
Slow down when driving in adverse conditions it well save you lots of trouble.
I bet not. The drivers are responsible to be in control of their cars or they should get off the road if they cannot handle the weather and road conditions.
Note; 4 cones in good weather for that road speed, different in bad weather. Comcast guy not right.
Those people are driving like MORONS!!
“Several vehicles had no trouble.”

Saw a couple schoolbusses get by without a problem.
Did utility work for 30 years.
IMO the drivers were were going too fast for road conditions but if it is a blind hill that should be taken into consideration but not mandatory
The guy taking the video is a total a-hole.
All he should have done is called the cops.
I have delt with jerks like him 100’s of times and it is really tough not to come down out of the bucket of off the pole and punch em in the mouth.
Comcast wont get sued and the techs wont loose there jobs.
Comcast is investigating. 4 cones not enough when there is an icy road and you having a hill behind you where drivers cant see.. But that black truck was going too fast.
The tech was correct. It is a 40-mph zone and all those people involved in an accident will be cited for driving too fast for conditions.
In my stretch of Michigan every time we get some ice and snow you can see where people slide off the road 3 or 4 cars every miles. Driving along 75 looks like a used car lot.
I drive a safe speed and idiots are driving past me over the posted speed just like it is a warm summer day.
I was impressed by the persistence of the person in that black pickup that went across several front yards on the other side of the road, I thought he might make it back on the pavement, but then he began to donut...
Might as well gun the engine at that point and enjoy yourself...:)
Not even a tree stopped him...
I agree...people driving too fast. And I can clearly understand the Xfinity guy saying “Hey, I got work to do here” kind of thing.
On another note, what is with this woman running around in her pajamas? I completely don’t understand this at all. Guess I am getting older and crustier...
Here is a comment from Reddit. No idea if valid:

Directional driller/ Equipment operator with a Flagging certificate for over 10 years here! I have been installing fiber optic and power lines for the past decade on roads just like this. Let me say first off that Combat broke multiple OSHA and DOT regulations here. When working withing any easement that is under 10 feet from the road or working from the road a minimum of 2 signs facing each lane of traffic must be placed a minimum of 500 feet from the site of work. To be a proper Lance closure they needed a roadwork ahead sign at 700 feet followed by a men working sign at 500 feet then a series of 5 cones minimum at the back of the truck forming a wedge from the right of the work lane to the left corner of the truck.
This was incredible. I have never seen such in professional actions and attitudes in my life. As someone who has worked in this field my entire adult life I’m angry and embarrassed that these men call them selves proffesionals.
We are not all like this and I would fire these men on the spot if this was my jobsite.”
They were going too fast for conditions. If you can’t control your car it’s on you.
I 96 near Lansing had a 53 car pileup about 5 days ago.
People should learn to drive slow in the snow and icy conditions.

I expect the guy is correct and these workers will be sacked. I think where it gets problematic for Comcast is that one crash would be understandable. But they took no action designed to attempt further accidents even after multiple crashes.
Let see, the road is icy and full of wet snow. Visibility is poor and we are driving in a rural and residential area mix.
I would be driving 15-25 mph. Certainly no more than 30 mph.
I was at a stop light once coming off a freeway. It was between 12 and 1 am in the morning. I was on the red and when it turned green I didn’t move because I saw a car coming, speeding with the intent to run the light. The driver behind me honked, then pulled out and gunned into the intersection only to be T-boned.
Don’t worry so much about what’s in front of you. Worry about what’s in front of the person you’re behind. It’s the quickest and earliest indication of what’s going to go wrong.
LOL, I rewatched, and didn’t see he had hit the car in front of him...the jackwagon in the black pickup was coming over that hill way, way too fast in that weather.
I suppose it might have been a good idea to get something on the OTHER side of the little rise in the road saying GO SLOW-WORK AHEAD or something like that...
