And your point? Something like that never stopped the Nobel committee.

And besides, Big Boy gets demerits for thinking soft ice cream is a milkshake.

;)

"Two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce,
cheese, pickles, onions – on a sesame seed bun."

(nostalgic youtube video link)

I’d say Peace, Chemistry, Economics and Literature.

I had a Big Mac (no cheese) for dinner tonight (with tax it was over $5, ouch!) in honor of Mr. Delligatti. Since I had no breakfast or lunch, I figured I could spare the 600 calories. It was excellent.

May you rest in peace, Mr. Delligatti. Well done.

My father was a classically trained tenor, and sang at The NY Met back in the 50's. He was also an accomplished acoustic guitarist and musician. I grew up with opera and symphonic music playing in the house and car. I spent four years in high school choir, and took two years of voice training. We actually recorded three choral albums, back in the days of vinyl. I can appreciate it. I saw Pavoratti perform back when he was in his prime.

Where did that get me? I still have shaggy hair and listen to stuff like Bad As I Am by The Hollywood Vampires. (Hey, you put Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp, and Joe Perry in a group together, what can go wrong?) Age and gravity may be taking it's toll, but from the neck up, I'm still 23 and playing a Japanese Strat knockoff through a cheap 15 watt amp.

Our PX snack bar on Camp Red Cloud in Korea had a very similar burger called the smuggler. This was years before there were any American franchises in Korea.

I freely admit it: The inventor of the Big Mac was far more deserving of a Nobel Prize than the recipient of the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize...awarded to Barack H. Obama “for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples”.

Jim Delligatti actually DID something useful.

I remember when they would give free Big Macs if you came in and sang the jingle. Four of us went to the local McDonald’s and sang it in four part harmony.

The manager was NOT happy.
