Ammon Bundy and his brother Ryan Bundy were transferred Monday from a federal detention center in Seattle to Nevada, where they face federal prosecution stemming from the 2014 standoff with federal agents outside their father Cliven Bundy's ranch near Bunkerville, Nevada.

The Bundy brothers were moved from the downtown Portland jail to the Federal Detention Center at SeaTac on Nov. 2, six days after they were acquitted of federal conspiracy and weapons charges......

The Bundy brothers remained at the federal detention center in Seattle until Monday, when they were flown to Nevada.

Ammon Bundy, 41, and Ryan Bundy, 44, are now being held at the Nevada Southern Detention Center in Pahrump, Nevada, which is about 63 miles west of Las Vegas. Their father, Cliven Bundy, is at the same facility......

They are all scheduled to face trial on Feb. 6 in the U.S. District Court in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ammon and Ryan Bundy have finally been moved to Nevada after spending two weeks at a federal prison in Seattle after their acquittal in the Oregon Standoff Trial.

A lot is said about the dispute between Cliven Bundy and the feds with a lot being said about 'unpaid grazing fees'.

The whole dispute began when the federal government's environmental regulations began to hurt Cliven Bundy's ranching business.

When the environmentalist movement emerged in the 1960's and the EPA started in the 1970's, it spelled the death knell for logging, farming, ranching in the West etc. etc.

Taking care of the land meant 'conservation' as NBC News Anchorman Chet Huntley put it in an interview at the time of his retirement in July 1970. The Montana native, leaving the news biz for what was expected to be a political career, suggested it should be a conservative idea to care for the earth.

But of course the EPA made it more of a Soviet notion with its rules shutting down productive industries and small farmers and ranchers who didn't have political connections like the big operators did.

And so we have the victims like Cliven Bundy and his sons plus those who came to help them sitting in Nevada prisons right now.

Usually Presidents pardon on the way out, but Trump is not usual.

No, Trump has earlier said they must be held responsible for their actions. He’ll simply let justice run its course. No pardon.

Do you have a link where he said that.

I just saw a fresh story from New Hampshire about another man charged in the Bunkerville Standoff from 2014.

Jerry DeLemus was co-chair of Veterans for Trump in NH during the primary.

It suggests a Trump pardon? B

Makes me feel ashamed of our government. Hopefully we will drain the swamp and fix things like this.

These men have been acquitted of all federal charges in Oregon after the jury clearly saw through the setup they were subjected to.

The crimes they are actually guilty of are at most minor misdemeanors and are being exceeded daily by Leftist mobs in the streets of America after Trump’s election.

But they are imprisoned and given no bail?

If a writ of Habeas Corpus was denied in these cases, what are the grounds now? We get to imprison you until we find a cooperative jury who will convict you of whatever fabricated or strained legal theory we can make stick?

The Obama government - the corrupt DoJ of Loretta Lynch and Corrupt Comey - continue to try to make an example of the Bundy’s, who are simply independent men making a political statement about the appalling coercion being forced on them and their fellow rural Westerners trying to make a living the way they always have.

The federal government under Obama gives far more leeway to the average illegal alien then it does natural born Americans.

Where is their bail? Why are they still imprisoned and dragged through a federal penitentiary system when it is clear that another jury may in fact clear them of all charges.

They are now nothing more then political prisoners of the Stalinist Obama regime, clinging to its last vestiges of power until the day Don Trump is sworn in.

On that day he needs to do exactly what the criminal Will Jefferson Clinton did in January of 1993: fire every Federal District Attorney and start over.

The Bundy’s deserve Bail and reduction of charges to credible levels of the minor infractions they may have done in the progress of their protest.

There WERE some people with guns pointed at federal officers at Bunkerville but it isn’t clear to me that they were NOT federal agents or informers now that the truth has come out about the so-called “militias” who rode in un-invited. Those guys may turn out to ALL be provacateurs.

Think that’s what the jury in Oregon saw.

Here is one response by Trump

....

Candidates who broadly supported Bundy’s cause

Donald Trump

While appearing on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show in April 2014, Trump expressed sympathy for Bundy, saying, “I like him, I like his spirit, his spunk and the people that are so loyal…I respect him.”

Trump stopped short of uniformly endorsing Bundy’s resistance to the government, however, noting, “You do have laws in the country and you know, if everybody did what he’s doing, where does it all go?” Instead, Trump saw the protest as an opportunity for the rancher to “cut a deal” with the government.

“He’s in a great position to cut a great deal and I think that’s what he should do,” he said.

A president can pardon anyone at any time. Obama has pardoned hundreds of drug dealers and they are free to ply their trade all over the country. Surely, Pres. Trump can pardon the ranchers of the West who just want to grow cattle for beef instead of peddling crack cocaine in the ghettos.

They should all be out on bail.

Their attorney can request it but the prosecution will claim they are a flight risk and ask bail be denied. It was denied in Oregon, so I doubt it'll be granted here.

They are such a flight risk it took two years after the ranch episode to bother to arrest them. The flight risk argument is total BS that any judge should see past. The Oregon judge and this Nevada judge should be removed from the bench.

The choice was send the cops in and dig them out of the ranch ala Waco in 1993, or wait for them to show up in public and nab them then. They chose the latter. If you or the Bundy's or anyone thought that the federal government was in a forgiving and forgetting mood then you're incredibly naïve.

Who thought the govt was not going to try to take retribution? You miss the point of a nation of laws.

DEAD ON.

The fact is that they were ACQUITTED in a federal trial with a stack of charges against them and there is every reason to believe that something similar would happen in a related trial.

Armed robbery suspects are given bail much more freely.
