"As you listen to the news about the student protests over President-Elect Trump's approach to illegal immigration, there are some things that you should be aware of:
I am in charge of the English-as-a-second-language department at a large Southern California high school which is designated a Title 1 school, meaning that its students average lower socioeconomic and income levels.
Most of the schools you are hearing about, South Gate High, Bell Gardens, Huntington Park , etc., where these students are protesting, are also Title 1 schools.
Title 1 schools are on the free breakfast and free lunch program. When I say free breakfast, I'm not talking a glass of milk and a roll -- but a full breakfast and cereal bar with fruits and juices that would make the Marriott proud. The waste of this food is monumental, with trays and trays of it being dumped in the trash uneaten

I estimate that well over 50% of these students are obese or at least moderately overweight. About 75% or more DO have cell phones. The school also provides day care centers for the unwed teenage pregnant girls (some as young as 13) so they can attend class without the inconvenience of having to arrange for babysitters or having family watch their kids

I was ordered to spend $700,000 on my department or risk losing funding for the upcoming year even though there was little need for anything; my budget was already substantial. I ended up buying new computers for the computer learning center, half of which, one month later, have been carved with graffiti by the appreciative students who obviously feel humbled and grateful to have a free education in America

I have had to intervene several times for young substitute teachers whose classes consist of many illegal immigrant students here in the country less than 3 months who raised so much hell with the female teachers, calling them putas (whores ) and throwing things, that the teachers were in tears.
Free medical, free education, free food, day care, etc., etc., etc. Is it any wonder they feel entitled not only to be in this country but to demand rights, privileges and entitlements?
To those who want to point out how much these illegal immigrants contribute to our society because they LIKE their gardener and housekeeper and they like to pay less for tomatoes: spend some time in the real world of illegal immigration and see the TRUE costs.
Higher insurance, medical facilities closing, higher medical costs, more crime, lower standards of education in our schools, overcrowding, new diseases etc., etc., etc. For me, I'll pay more for tomatoes.
Americans, We need to wake up. The guest worker program will be a disaster because we won't have the guts to enforce it. Does anyone in their right mind really think they will voluntarily leave and return?
It does, however, have everything to do with culture: A third-world culture that does not value education, that accepts children getting pregnant and dropping out of school by 15, and that refuses to assimilate, and an American culture that has become so weak and worried about "political correctness" that we don't have the will to do anything about it.

I skeptical about this coming from a teacher. The grammar is too good.

I’m all for putting anti-pregnant additives in the food they feed illegals and welfare cases. Add it to my tax bill.
On the average teachers schooling costs are huge, then they get hired by the school system which has an agenda they all have to shut up and follow if you want to keep the job you have which by the way took forever to get.
At the interview if you dont speak spanish so you can communicate with the parents of the little savages you will not get the job. Now you have to shut your mouth take the verbal and physical abuse from the savages as well as the parents and look the other way while teaching young savages that dont belong in the system to begin with.
This is teaching in America today and I hope a trump administration does what he says they will do return it to the states. Those states that want to save thier sanctuary city are those states you dont want to teach in you might as well work in a prison system

I’ve seen this before, a number of times over the past few years.
Those of us in SoCal have been warning of this stuff for years. Decades. Finally it seems that the rest of America is waking up to how bad it is.
Anything less than mass deportation will not save California from the abyss that it is sinking into. And this state will drag the rest of the country with it.
Illegals are citizens of other countries. They impose huge costs on this country. They change its very culture. None of us voted for this. None of us voted to give away our country.

What this man says is 100 percent true..my cousin used to work at a high school in Granada Hills..you would think, nice area right..he had to leave..the kids were HORRIBLE..majority of them in this country illegally, they would throw chairs against the wall, curse, refuse to do their homework, my cousin felt threatened he couldn’t take it anymore so he quit..all of these “Kids” protesting are from schools where in their yearbooks it shows “Most likely to end up in prison” these kids are “Dreamers” all they want are freebies and YES they all have cell phones, every single one of them

The facts of life are that our society's ability to support the underclass is finite. The size of the underclass is growing.
Personally, I'd like to avoid a bloody civil war at the point that the economy finally collapses.
Exactly why I no longer provide out of my own pocket or from allotted classroom supplies money a class set of basic calculators. I transferred to my current school 6 years ago with 60 basic calculators. Within two years, all 60 calculators were destroyed either by the batteries being removed (found them all over the floor and wondered where they came from), the solar panels smashed, and/or the buttons pried off. I teach 7th-grade Math in a rural public school. We, too, are a “Title 1” school, and, yes, lots of breakfast and lunch foods end up in the trash can. Many of those students, however, have ample money to purchase bottled water, chips, ice cream, fruit roll-ups, and “muffins”.
No, the welfare supported anchor babies clued me in to a last resort. The uneducated hormonal leftists and their offspring have sucked my empathy and wallet dry.
That's not accidental: the government is just like any other competitive organization. It wants to grow sales 10% every year without regard to environmental damage. Without the illegals, 25% of government workers would lose their jobs and the ponzi pension schemes would implode.
Everything stated in this email is true plus MORE. In Oregon, the migrant indian coalition and head start programs take care of these children from birth to the first grade. They are picked up by buses at their individual HOMES.
They then enter “school” no better off than if they had just begun because all they have had is a gigantic baby-sitting service where no one speaks english. Therefore, their mothers are free to fart around all day. They enter grades 1-12 and get free breakfast and lunch for the WHOLE YEAR including summer.
Most of them drop out of school. Inspite of a plethora of programs implemented to keep them in school. They drop out because they get PG, go on welfare and the whole cycle goes on again. The males drop out due to non-motivation, no values and easy money doing drug deals. And these drop outs have endless kids all paid for again by the tax-payers.
Males and females get more money for having more kids. Sometime they have kids in their late forties to keep the welfare money coming in and they end up with babies with Downs syndrome which is becoming more prevalent.
We are NOT HELPING THESE PEOPLE BY GIVING THEM A FREE RIDE.
They have no knowledge, no motivation and no values.
The only thing they know is how to use the system.
