There are two constitutional questions on the ballot this year that have hardly even been discussed. They’re also poorly worded and hard to decipher so getting a sample makes sense. But I generally agree.

Only 2 of us in at our poll place, San Fernando Valley to vote. West Hills. So far this is the same turn out I’ve seen in the past 3 elections. Only my 2 cents.

Keep the Faith. You never know how many actual citizens will vote for Trump, and how many others will believe Hillary has already won, and stay home.

I’ll be taking a 3 hour shift to hand out those Republican sample ballots in North Carolina

Is this not a live voting report thread? Goodness me, I must not have had enough coffee yet this morning.

Just,
There’s going to be a lot of eye witness ‘vanity’s’ today, so cut back on the coffee and relax maybe switch over to some herbal teas, like ginger or hibiscus, they keep the blood pressure down. It’s going to be a long day.

Just voted in Virginia Beach. Was happy for the paper ballots this year. No machines. Trump/Pence!

Its going to be a long day. Look, I didn't make the policy. I'm simply relaying Jim's request. If you don't like it, take it up with him.
You are right -- it's going to be a long day. FR doesn't need hundreds of vanity threads when there are relevant threads attached to news articles that are appropriate places to discuss it.
Or, you can donate to the Freepathon.

Is there any sign that working class dems are voting for Trump?

They’ve already cashed my pittance of a check.
Seriously get that BP down.

FWIW, I signed up last night to make calls for Trump at talk.donaldjtrump.com and the only choice was VA.
To: Toadman
We live just south of you in Stafford County and also have three kids living at home while finishing college. My wife and I just finished voting at Porter Library and not only were there no lines but only two people picked up sample ballots from the Dem people. Out of five black folks only one younger black male stopped and picked up the Dem sample. The others were all talking and laughing with the Republican reps, one of which was also black (the first of that since we retired from the AF and became residents here in 1996).
The past two elections for Odumbo there were waiting lines to vote and at least a third were black. Not this time.

Theyve already cashed my pittance of a check. Awesome, I'm sure that Jim appreciates it.
Do you want to post a vanity, or do you want to transfer that to someone else?
Seriously get that BP down.
My blood pressure is fine. What surprises me is how people are getting so upset at me because I asked them to honor a explicit request from Jim.

Good. Im right outside of Arlington and was opposite here, unfortunately. Then again, your area is more swing-ier than mine, which is monolithically stalinist. Arlington and Alexandria, liberal to the core. I hated having to do business in those two cities.

I have been known to post a vanity once in awhile.
But then aren’t the majority of comments here vanities? So I don’t mind a few as long as they don’t take over. Come to think of it a fair percentage of news stories are vanities of the journalists and editors.
If your BP is good that’s great, mine’s elevated due heredity.

I posted this on another thread. We live in North Springfield. A friend of mine voted in Merrifield and said turnout there was very high. She had to wait almost an hour. We waited about 45 minutes once we got inside.
We got to our polling place in Fairfax County (northern VA) at 6:10 or so. It's an elementary school. We always get there very close to when the polls open, and we have never had troubles finding a place to park. This morning there were cars parked everywhere -- along the streets leading to the school, on the grass, on the sides of the parking lot directly underneath "no parking" signs. We circled the lot for about 15 minutes before finding a spot. Inside the school, I'd say there were 150-200 people already waiting. This was in a new wing of the school, so it's hard to gauge against previous years, but I am confident there were more people than in 2012. Perhaps more than 2008! Republican sample ballots were on green paper, while Democrat ballots were blue. I saw 5 green papers and only one blue. Plus, there were three different groups discussing ballot initiatives in a way that clearly indicated they were conservative. I have never heard open discussion of conservative politics in line at that polling place before, and we have been voting there for 12 years (including mid-terms and local elections). This is all strictly anecdotal of course, and Fairfax is a blue county. But it may well be indicative of how the rest of VA may go!
