“Rudolph” Ford said that is greatest accomplishment was putting ultra-liberal John Paul Stevens on the Supreme Court, not his vetoes.
In the country, sure, but it's Ford's hometown, so he may be better remembered there.
And the real audience is probably older folks who see the rally on TV or read about it in the paper.
It is strange, though, if you remember Ford, to reflect that many Americans may have no more idea of who he was than of who Wilson or Harding or Coolidge or Hoover was.
