Yep, the damage is done. Her reputation is forever swamp scum, evil, and corrupt. If I were a Democrat, with even a modest amount of brain and common sense, there is no way I could vote for someone this ethically crippled.
Actually, it will do something. It will add more meat to the “rigged, corrupt, drain the swamp” meme. Trump can capitalize greatly on this - DOJ protecting crooked Hitlery. The number one issue for people, according to something I read lately, was corruption. This will play into that.

Damage is done to the Clinton campaign, most people won’t think this out and say “oh, she’s in the clear now”, especially with stories coming out everyday, like her maid running copies of classified info. That there would seem to be a serious breach of protocol.

I also expect Hillary to somehow raise an enormous stink because of Comey’s last-minute whiplash on this topic. She will declare that she would have won if Comey hadn’t tried to sink her campaign about a week ago.

What did Comey see nine days ago that caused such alarm? There must have been something. His leadership is over, either way. He’s allowed himself to become tainted by the Clinton machine.
