As a teacher, I have always been amazed at the number of parents who get their voting info from their children who, in turn, have been given instructions from their teachers.

Many, many parents consider whatever is good for their children, as defined by the teachers union, is good for the nation.

Grandson who is a high school sophomore just loves his chemistry teacher. Unfortunately after 35 years in the classroom this is her last year. Says too many kids can no longer read, print legibly, write cursive or express a complete sentence. Grandson said none of his papers or tests require a written response beyond an X or a check mark. Everything is multiple choice or prepared using a computer.

Won’t be long before kids cannot read anything written in longhand.

Many, many parents consider whatever is good for their children, as defined by the teachers union, is good for the nation.

This is a vicious cycle that has been repeated for decades. The left knows that by controlling education and children, the hook of socialism is easily applied. Every Clinton ad in my area is emotional garbage geared to kids and mothers: Rather nonsensical straw arguments and inflammatory rhetoric that sways the gullible. There is no emotional intelligence difference between a liberal and an immature elementary child in most cases.
