I’m Catholic, and I saw a guy dressed up as a pregnant nun. Can I get a teddy bear and a corner to do some deep breathing?

I wonder how many 18 year olds were looking for their safe space on the beaches of Normandy?
On my 18th birthday I got orders to Viet Nam, less than a month later I was on a patrol in some jungle.
But that was not the scary part, the scary part was later when I got out of the Army.
I was 20 when I got out of the Army, no education (dropped out of high school) no school and no money. Found a minimum wage job as a laborer ($2 an hour) went back to school. Got an education, got better jobs, saved my money, got married, bought a home, raised a family and now comfortable retired.
I don’t think a Halloween costume ever had me running to a safe space. These children are going to have a rough time adjusting to the real world where there are more important things in life then what someone wears on Halloween.

snow flake certainly is the appropriate term for this politically correct accommodation.

You can create neurosis for free. It is insane that colleges are inculcating neurotic mindsets for that high a price tag.

Power is defined by the ability to stop something, to turn it off. There are a lot of fascists who are testing the limits of what they can do by saying "you don't get to do that!" When they can get a power trip banning costumes, words and cultural practices in college, they will become full blown fascists in the real world or permanent agitators and sources of violence if they don't get to force others through power of the state. And the worst part is - the teachers who indoctrinated them as such still hold those views and impart them. I think they need to read CS Lewis, because this fits social justice warriors perfectly. Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. ― C.S. Lewis
