Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onion on a sesame seed bun.

I can’t believe I remember that. Oh, and...me, I’m the one.

McD tested something like this about 6 months ago in the DFW area. It was called the Grand Mac. I do not know if/when it will be rolled out nationwide.

I blame Morgan Spurlock.

His documentary Supersize Me, where he eats nothing but McDonalds for a month and winds up a fat, dying blimp, was being shown constantly in high-schools after it was released.

My daughter’s health teacher showed it to the class. My daughter developed a form of eating disorder from watching it. We could not get her to eat McDonalds.....or much of ANYTHING after she had seen it.

You don’t need a documentary to tell you it’s bad to eat fast food every day. That’s what your mother is for.

I seriously doubt that this has any basis in fact (like political polls), but is merely what those conducting the "poll" glean -
1. because the poll was conducted with the sole purpose of shocking readers. Finding that people eat Big Macs monthly will not get a headline.
2. Because the person being polled wants to appear self righteous and healthy. It is much more fashionable to attack McD's. Remember the song "Junk Food Junkie"?

I blame McDonald’s for trying to market to the ghetto crowd.

Reminds me of the Eddie Murphy routine about McDonald’s. (Language)

I don’t think Dave Thomas would like what has became of Wendy’s either !!!

CHEESEBURGERS !!!! NOT ONE HAMBURGER !!!

If you order a CHEESEBURGER w/o cheese, it’s the same price !! Rip off the consumer every way you can !!!

Big Mac’s are nasty in my opinion, I know a lot of folks like em, and every chain with a burger on the menu offers a version of it just about... so I know they are popular... but I ever ever cared for em... I’m a GenX though.

Personally, the biggest issue I have with the top 2 burger joints is simply their burgers are pathetic... McD’s dropped to 1/10 lbs burger sometime in the 80s I think... and BK dropped to it in 2000’s I think... at this point what is the point of ordering their burgers? They are literally sliders...

Need to step back up to 1/8 lb burgers even if it means a price increase to do it.... and if I ran McD’s, I’d have gone back to formula 47 in their friers long long ago. McD’s would see its revenues increase overnight if they just did that one change... just like they saw their sales increase when they returned to using REAL BUTTER in their breakfast items... never announced or marketed it, but sure enough, as soon as they did they saw their sales increase.

Formula 47 would return McD fries to one of the must have sinful items they were through most of McD’s history.. instead of the joke they are today.

Wendy’s has changed too, and I know they think its been for the better, and some of it has been... but I honestly prefer their old style burgers to their new ones... The new fries are superior to the old, but I do think the old burgers were better.

Wendy’s is still probably the best of the national burger chains.

I blame McDonald’s for trying to market to the ghetto crowd.

For some reason, they have a primarily-black staff, even in predominantly-white areas.

A teenage girl I know lasted at a McD for a few weeks. She quit because the black girls who worked there were nasty to her. After that, I no longer patronize the place.

I have eaten one, but prefer other stuff on the menu.

"Here's why thats a problem" with Millenials - too coddled and taught poorly by the system.

I really miss the good McDonald’s fries

You and me both. I used to eat at McD's fairly regularly way back when. One day circa 1990, the fries suddenly went from delicious to blah. A month or two later, I saw some item in the newspaper about how they'd ditched beef tallow as their frying agent in favor of supposedly healthier vegetable oil.

It reminds me of Bob’s “Big Boy” burger with the redundant middle bun. Too much bread.

My local McDonalds also has a largely black staff.

They all seem like polite, hard-working kids.

It should. The Big Mac was a pretty direct copycat of the Big Boy.

We go to the Sonic from time to time just because it is easy, acceptable quality and relatively cheap. I see high schools kids, yard apes with their parents in the minivan and older people there. Rarely see millennials.

Wendy’s is now run by the same management that used to run Arby’s.

All of them bigtime Democrats (look up their campaign contributions). Hence the laying awake all night thinking up new ways to scam more money.
