...In August a new FDA rule went into effect that forbids tobacco makers and distributors from handing out free samples. Some companies that have been donating cigars to service members for decades have now stopped for fear that this is now illegal...
California Republican Duncan Hunter, who did combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan before becoming a Marine reservist, says legislation shouldnt be needed. In a Sept. 8 letter, he asked FDA Commissioner Robert Califf to clarify if the new rule really does ban cigar donations to soldiers. Hes still waiting to hear back....
The FDAs bureaucrats are happy to have U.S. soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines dodge bullets overseas but theyre horrified they might relax by lighting up a stogie. Maybe we should send Mr. Califf and his colleagues who wrote this rule to Helmand province for a week of military education.

If this is so dangerous, ALL government employees should be banned from smoking.
IIRC there photos of that lizard of a leader, with a cigar?
Fed.gov is out of control
Congress is just there to rubber-stamp the massive debt
Then charge them a penny, keep it on account and tell them they owe it within 30 years.
Hes still waiting to hear back....

In the bureaucracy it called slow walking, a delaying tactic that we see all too often in this corrupt administration. Where are media calls for responsive government and transparency?
Smoking is a harmful behavior choice - the government must regulate it and crush it.
The gay lifestyle is harmful behavior choice - the government must promote it and protect it.
The Feds will never ban cigarette manufacturing - the taxes are too good.
The Feds should start taxing prostitution - they promote it and all other deviant behavior.
FDA rules should not apply to cigars at all.
