A former Montana State University student has filed a lawsuit alleging the university failed to protect him from a roommate who stole his money and engaged in unspecified sexual behavior described as disturbing.
Evan Clark’s lawsuit against the state alleges campus officials, including the dean of students, knew his roommate had been removed from other dormitory rooms due to the alleged sexual misconduct, but ignored Clark’s requests to have him moved until Clark went to Bozeman police.
Clark became so depressed that he took an overdose of painkillers in late November 2015 and quit going to class.

I’m thinking that we could eliminate a good percentage of our colleges along with an even greater percentage to students contained within.
But don’t worry, those colleges will go to the wall protecting folks with little mental abilities, but large mental problems, in order to keep their “studies” departments fully fueled. After all, it’s easy money....silly little “professors”, no labs or high priced tech stuff, and no academic requirements whatsoever.
And dat’s the twuth.
I had some difficult roommates. Can we sue retroactively???
If he steals, call the cops. If he’s spanking the monkey, beat the dog squeeze out of him.
If I'm right, this is just plain silly.
I was never asked on any roommate preference form whether I was an early or late riser. This is one of the biggest non-creepy things that can cause tension between people forced to live in close quarters.
The best roommates I had were ones that happened when we swapped roommates at the beginning of the year, but the RAs seemed to discourage this for no apparent reason.
Have a feeling this is just more than monkey spanking. The article does not say so it leads one to believe the roommate “scott” was probably having sex with another person while Evan was in the room and this other person was not female.
My first roommate, summer semester, was a druggie and prostitute. Kicked her out.
The second one cried nonstop for two weeks because she missed her bf back home. She dropped out and lost her free ride scholarship.
The third one cooed like a dove 24/7. I stayed out of the room until I knew she was asleep. She dropped out at the end of that semester.
That second summer, my best friend and I had enough of strange roommates to she moved in. And tried to steal my bf. I moved to an empty room and told them no more roommates. Why didn’t they tell me at the beginning a private room was only an extra $7 a semester?!?
A roommate this messed up deserves what we used to call a “blanket party” or a “fartsack.” Basically, you wrap him up in a blanket or a sheet, then whale the tar out of him.
years ago I was an older college student living on campus. the dean of students knew that I had suffered mental illness in the past so at the end of the semester when summer semester started she dumped all of the students into my dorm housing that were having issues on campus. I confronted her on what she had done and her answer was that she could not match theses students up with others because she was worried about what they would do. she knew that because of my experience with suffering mental illness in the past that at 30 I was. better prepared to deal with them then some teenager or twenty year old. she said she wanted some one in the dorm who could spot when things were going south with them and knew I could be just the right roommate for them. I was not happy. by the end of the summer two of them were in psych wards because of there mantel illness. I know dealing with there emergencies impacted my grades that summer by at least one full grade. on the bright side one of the guys was really great as a room mate he had OCD and the more stressed out he got the more he cleaned house. I never had to do house cleaning that summer or the next 2 years he was my room mate..............I still was mad at the gall for putting the other tywo in my house just so I could watch them.
Circa 1966 I had a roommate that was totally unacceptable. A few weeks into our “dorm ship” I decided he had to go. He did not want to go. I decided he needed to go. I started sleeping with a bayonet at my side and that did not work. The next step was to fling his alarm clock against the wall when it when off and “screaming where the hell are they?” Unfortunately that did not work. I was displeased.
I decided on a novel plan and it worked. At 2 o’clock in the morning I came up with a plan of screaming in my sleep and said, “stab him again he is still moving.”
He was gone the next morning and I had room by myself and did not pay extra for it.
It worked and he was gone. It was quite amusing to watch him as he went to sleep. He was always watching me. He was terrified. Actually he was not a bad guy but his friends were assholes. Those are the guys I wanted gone.
Today if I did that I would be in jail.
My roommate in my senior year introduced herself: her name and that she was first runner up in her state in the Miss America pageant contest.
Lol. She got a C- in an upper division psychology class final exam and went to the professor to lodge a complaint.
He changed it to an "A" after she had sex with him.
She WAS beautiful but she ain't now as she is MY age: old.
She was also a first class SLOB. It was SOOOO bad that I cleaned up her side twice.
Here's the kicker. When I came into the room, I'd toss my sweater on the back of the chair and dump my books on my desk. I'd to to the bathroom and when I would come back she would have STRAIGHTENED my sweater that I had tossed onto the back of my chair. What was that all about?

That he CHOSE assholes for friends SHOULD HAVE told all about him: grade AAA, BLUE RIBBON LOSER.
Each of my sons wound up with a very weird roommate freshman year. One chose to just move to a friend’s room until his sophmore year. The other hung in there and switched the next year. One roomie was heavily into Dumgeons and Dragons and the other wound up pitching a tent on the lawn in front of their graduation ceremonies. Hey, both my sons survived without suing.
I WAS a difficult roommate. Thank goodness for the statute of limitations.
OMG. What an experience you had. How crazy.
My oldest daughter’s first roommate kept lodging complaints about her going to bed with a glass of water on her nightstand in case she was thirsty during the night. Said it was unsanitary and she was afraid of germs building up in the room from the glass left out overnight.
I was shocked to learn that it was supposedly not unusual for female students to sleep with professors for better grades. One of my suitemates advised me of this strategy. I had no idea previous to her divulgement.
