Is anyone going to the Santa Rosa Mile Sunday in Santa Rosa, CA? I thought perhaps we can set a time and location at the track to meet.
I will also be at the Santa Rosa, Wings over the Wine Country event Saturday.
I will be there all three days of racing; Friday evening short track, Saturday evening short track, and Sunday mile.
It would be great to meet fellow fans and put a face to some of the Freeper names. It is a sort of public venue, so we can always run away from each other if it is to intense or anyone seeks revenge for me posting satire and not labeling it as such.

Events like that have “target” written all over them. Any mosques near there?
Events like motorcycle racing? You’re getting even with me for posting a satirical piece and not labeling it satire. That would be an interesting venue for a Muslim terrorist to try and blend not to mention the difficulty of trying to harm folks at a venue as spread out as that. It is also completely unnecessary as most of the folks there are trying to kill themselves by riding and racing motorcycles.
We have a group that meets in the upstairs of a restaurant once a week...it is closed to the public and we know at all times who is present. Small group, the owners come in and serve us food, beer, etc. We stay in the shade for the most part.
You’ll be OK as long as you don’t attract attention to your group. Wear watches on your wrong hand or have a way in which to secretly meet.
I was visualizing air shows I have attended in which spectators were kept in a relatively limited area.
If I were in California, I would.
The one in Winston-Salem is cancelled this year due to construction at the airport.
I went to it for the first time last year.
It’s very crowded, good luck getting a motel room! I stayed up by Santa Rosa last weekend, got a room in Cloverdale about 30 minutes north. Highways are bumper to bumper congested. Motel people said everything is booked up for miles around, shortage of hotel/motel rooms. Crazy!
I never experienced difficulty with room here. I can’t imagine what was going on last week. The race draws a crowd but not a huge one.
