Hey Diana,

I moved down to the South a few months ago. I was formerly living in Penn and New England.

What I’ve noticed is that here in Georgia and Florida at least, the tall cumulonimbus clouds are absolutely spectacular — and it’s nothing like I remember up North.

So I think visiting Georgia even in the heat of the summer is worthwhile simply for the gorgeous cloud patterns.

Curious, what about Texas, V K?

I have read Bertrand Russell, “Why I am not A Christian.” If your quote is accurate, it was certainly not intended to promote a Creator. His book is silly, simply defines miracles as impossible, therefore God does not exist. (Molds on cheese coming.)

Simply awe inspiring~ It reminds of a post card from childhood. As a young child, parents drove w/me to Yellowstone National Park. While there a 1940 decade postcard was purchased as a souvenir. An unusual printing and the colors used in a manner similar to water colors. I grew up forever wanting that postcard as it brought such delight as well as a spiritual, peaceful feeling. Alas, the card was lost sometime after living on my own and when cleaning out parents belongings, it was never found.

Thank you so much for the shared image!

Your picture simply reminded me of the nonsense ‘turtles all the way down”:

Thanks for the Havasu Canyon pic. Never heard of that spectacular place.

But I found another pic with of Havasu Canyon featuring what looks to be a visitor with a Trump hat. Sure looks like an exciting place to camp and explore :-)

Must agree w/you about the toasted marshmallows. It certainly does remind of mom’s sweet potato casserole every Thanksgiving with the whole large marshmallows atop and browned under the broiler just before serving. Not my favorite sweet potato casserole....LOL prefer a praline topping on sweet potato souffle.

Never having seen above the clouds while flying over a volcano, I must admit it did look unusual. But, knowing how shadows can fall on clouds in such dramatic fashion, just because it was never been seen personally doesn’t meat it can’t be seen. In Texas, we have spectacular cumulonimbus clouds. Sometimes they appear to be fluffy white globs of whipped cream stacked on egg whites right up to Heaven’s Gate

Then there are the times we’ll see several at sunset and the rays shining between the clouds is as if you are peaking into a flaming fireplace.

Watching clouds form and pass overhead is a favorite past time.
