The NFL needs to make it clear: players are hired to play football, not to use the NFL as a platform for their personal views.
Do overpaid, overrated crybabies like Kappy have a right to refuse to stand, actually they do. SHOULD THEY? That's another matter, they're not exempt from any criticism levied against them. A few years ago my daughter's best friend went on her FB page to vent her frustration at the Mgrs at the local Wally World she works at. No threats, no obscenities, didn't even mention names. Yet she was called on the carpet and damn near lost her job. For the obscene amount of $$$ this POS makes for throwing a football on a part time basis, and not very accurately by NFL standards, is it too much to ask that he stand for the Nat'l Anthem and if he must, bitch and moan all he wants OFF THE FIELD?

If only there were the same level of general outrage when the Constitution is trampled...

You have a right to do whatever you want, and I have a right to fire you.

Yea, its ok to own a pro sports team if you are a flaming lib but Rush, a conservative, can’t. The only pro sports I watch are Supercross and Motocross.

..............I watched my last game, literally, on or about February 25, 1989.

So, my boycott is 27 years ahead of you. there are NFL teams that I have never even heard of.

10 points to the first Freeper that knows the football significance to February 25, 1989.

I watched that woman singing “her” pathetic/horrible version of the National Anthem before the NC-Denver NFL game tonight.

Denver LB Marshall #54 was kneeling and many of the NC players were just jumping from side to side.

No respect shown by many of the players.

An Internet search reveals that would be the day Jerry Jones bought “America’s Team”.

When I was young and fidgety my dad used to tell me to get the worm out of my you know what. Maybe these players have an Obama worm infestation?!

Your razor close SO u win the ten points!

That would be the day JJ summarily FIRED Tom Landry. He found out about it on the News, or a friend, I forget EXACTLY how but it was not from the low life coward drunk Jerry Jones.

The source mentioned that, but seemed to imply it was not that same day.

During college, our dean somehow arranged a visit to the empty Cowboy's office on a Saturday. Somewhere I've got a photo of me sitting in Landry's desk while holding a Super Bowl trophy. Quite an unusual experience!

.......I don’t know if it was the same day either and I don’t know if you live in Texas but I can assure you that MANY tens of thousands of Texans were incensed at Jerry Jones for firing this great man in the way he did. He’s tried to suck up ever since but most of us don’t buy it and despise him!
