I play and sing with the mandolin, the hymn,“Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior”, written by William H. Doane, and accompanied with scenic star lighted night sky view, biblical scripture and instrumental end of the hymn, “God Be With You Till We Meet Again”, written by William G. Tomer, accompanied with sing-along lyrics. I believe you will be blessed and comforted.
William Howard Doane, who wrote the music for hymns such as “More Love to The, O Christ” and “Near the Cross” is one of my favorite composers of sacred music.
“God Be With You Till We Meet Again” was played at my mother’s memorial service. I have seen the First Congregational Church in Washington, DC, where it was first performed (a modern building sits on the site of the original building).
