Dolezal was invited to attend the Braid On Economic Liberty March & Rally in Dallas led by natural hair stylist and activist Isis Brantley. The rally is branded as an event to encourage black women's hair care and empowerment.

In 2015, Dolezal resigned as president of the Spokane, Washington, chapter of the NAACP after her parents informed local NBC affiliate KHQ-TV in Spokane that Dolezal is white, and not of African-American descent...

Rachael,,do you wish you actually had authentic black hair? Instead of faing your wjite hair into a kinked black hairstyle.

If you were a true black Rachael, youd be doing what almost all black women do today, and straighten out the hair to imitate the white cultures’ female hairstyles.

I thought she was wearing a wig. I have seen black women with the same style who were wearing wigs.

Usually black women need wigs because prior to that they wore hairstyles that pulled their hair out being weaved so tightly.

I’ve been close friends with enough black people over the years to know that some regard themselves as having “good” hair, meaning not coarse and tightly curled. And, close enough to know the near torture that many go through to try and keep that coarse hair looking shiny and styled. Your mom’s perm ain’t got nothing on that stuff, it’s evil. I don’t know why there aren’t second degree burns from it, myself.

Hair care and empowerment.
Is that like nail trimming and human rights?
Or sarcasm and social justice indignation?

Pulis are welcome at the event, but not those cultural-appropriating Komondor crackahs.
