Late to the party, but I have a favorite. It's my apple *early* peeler. It makes peeling apples *easy as pie*. In spite of its steampunk look ...it is an amazing invention. Really. Peels are paper thin. After the peeling is complete...a little foot comes out and *kicks* the apple off the holding prongs.
Another gadget I treasure is my nutmeg grater...
