You are not looking at this correctly.
What you are seeing is a purge of the thin crust of moderate Democrats who control the GOP coming out of the tree line into the open. They are thugs and bullies that have been leading us around by the nose like stupid barnyard animals for decades. For everyone of those losers that goes over to the dark side Trump picks up 10,000 disaffected blue collar people with no past affiliation that have given up on politics.

Don’t get sick. Get even. At the moment I have no plans to vote GOP down ticket. Politics is a two way street and if the GOP won’t fully support Trump I will not fully support it.

I'll repeat what I've been saying for years here, that it is time for a new party. The GOP is now the Gutless Obsolete Party, fully controlled by the Bush family and their like. I don't think these people truly disagree with the Dems on anything, they just put on the act now and then to keep their dwindling number of voters from catching on. Trump made it to this point because he is Trump, but a candidate with less name recognition doesn't stand a chance. Starting a new party isn't easy, of course, but there is no other alternative. Trump may not get the opportunity to change the party if he continues having weeks like this one.

I’ve have unfollowed so many conservative columnists in the last couple of weeks. We get it: Trump’s a bad candidate. We get it: You wrote months ago he would be a bad candidate. Now, STFU or start attacking Hillary with the same gusto you’re showing against Trump.
Note that the anti-Trumps who lecture Trump to focus on Hillary NEVER focus on her themselves. Now why could that be? Perhaps because they want her to win? The mask is off. There is simply nothing principled or conservative about defacto campaigning for Hillary Rotten Criminal by attempting to suppress support for Trump.

The media will parade anyone and everyone who is against Bill Clinton’s third White House term. These politicians know the public has limited memory for being backstabbed, and big establishment donors won’t be turned off by the attacks against Trump.

I agree. Trump will most likely be the last republican I vote for. If he loses, I see no hope for the party.

Go down in flames? To be replaced by liberal Dems? And we gain what by all this? What exactly do we gain with Republicans? A slower creep towards socialism? I'm not even sure that holds true anymore, though I believed that myself for many years now.
The bottom line is that this is all about preserving their power, so along with the loss of this nation, and the loss by her citizens, they might as well reap their just rewards. That being subjected to the same kinds of abuse they have fostered and allowed to become prevalent under their stewardship, or more aptly lack of.

When Trump is gone form the stage it will be business as usual for the GOP. /sarcasm

The GOPe is basically hinting that they support Hillary without outright saying it. But their loyalties are clear just the same.
If Trump goes down in November, he will start a new party. Count on it. And he’ll bring millions with him.

Oh I will vote down ticket Republicans, but only for Trump’s sake.

I can't do that. Not everyone down ticket is an establishment hack and if we can't win the presidency, we are really going to need to keep control of at least one chamber of Congress.

Not exactly. There is still one option short of that that is open if we control enough state houses.
Convention of the States.

Don’t support anyone down ticket who didn’t support Trump then. Controlling something means nothing if they are in cohoots with the Democrats anyway.

Fortunately, in my locale all my down ticket republicans are conservatives who also supported Trump.

Trump needs an infomercial to let Monica tell her story. So you're saying that Trump should pay for an infomercial for the DNC? When pushed, Monica would admit maybe it was inappropriate for her boss to do things, but otherwise, she is 'the first victim of cyberbullying' in her own words. Maybe she was thrown under the bus, but she was unfairly attacked by those seeking to harm the presidency...
The only effective use of Monica would be her blue dress and the caption on the blip vert saying, 'Do you really want to let this man back in the White House?' or 'Parental Advisory: Bill Clinton's looking for more interns.'
