Everyone knows that blacks can, and almost always do, call each other by a word the use of which we as whites are proscribed from the use of. I believe that this is racist.
Leave alone the fact that most whites don't want to use the word in the first place, whether or not one does should not be the result of a racist policy, for when it is, it defeats its own purpose... which is ostensibly to eradicate racism, not promulgate it through ignorant policy.
IMHO.
The problem with that is that it’s wrong when Blacks call each other “nigger.” They claim that because they’re black, that makes it okay. But it doesn’t - it’s a derogatory and demeaning term, just like “coon,” and it’s wrong to use no matter what. Instead of defending it, blacks should denounce it and thereby reclaim their dignity. The PC aspect is the hypocrisy of accepting their sole use of the term. But the term is harmful and hateful and should be rejected outright. It didn’t used to be used specifically for disrespect all the time, but it is now.
