WNBA prez withdraws fines regarding anti-violence shirts

NEW YORK -- The WNBA has withdrawn its fines for teams and players that showed support of citizens and police involved in recent shootings by wearing black warmup shirts before games.

WNBA President Lisa Borders said in a statement Saturday that the league was rescinding penalties given to the Indiana Fever, New York Liberty, Phoenix Mercury and their players for wearing the shirts during pregame protests, which began after shootings in Minnesota and Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

I know I’m an idiot so for that forgive me. But knowing the politically correct zealots ESPN how did wearing these shirts show support to the police as well? That sounds like BS.

Second question from idiot. Did these ‘black warmup shirts’ have a ‘BLM’ on them? I couldn’t tell if the author is just avoiding the issue or what.

The WNBA players wore black shirts with the message “Change Starts with Us: Justice & Accountability” in white on the front. On the back, the shirt contained a Dallas police department emblem, the names of two African American men killed by police in Minnesota and Louisiana, and the words “Black Lives Matter.”

Since the NBA were so up-in-arms over NC's bathroom bill, like the other PC "not sees", here's an opportunity for them to show how they stand with the trannies. They should merge the NBA with the WNBA, like they absorbed what was left of the old ABA back in the 70's (Nets, Nuggets, Spurs, Pacers). Then have some of their scouts hang out at WOMEN's collegiate basketball games and put pressure on the NCAA as well as all the other pro and semi-pro leagues to end "gender specific" teams. May as well wait for the Jets to win a Super Bowl before that ever happens.
