Pokemon Go may become a victim of it’s own success. I predict there will be cash settlements and lots of them until they redesign the game to lessen the chance of this happening.
I see that there is an exemption agreement, but we all know those are not always iron clad. Such as with a SIGNED Pre-Nuputial Agreement. Even then, the less wealthy spouse usually gets something more than a goodbye hug.
One good thing about this app is that it’s getting a lot of young people off their asses and out of the house, for the first time in a long while. Another hazard is vendors can use this to ‘lure’ customers in. You share all of your private data just by joining. That total customer disclosure should not be necessary.
Basically it uses the GPS transceiver on the cell phone, the cell phone camera, then overlays the Pokemon cartoon characters in generally public places.
Players go on sort of a road rally to find the characters, sort of like Geo Caching a few years ago.
In the last 6 days it has reportedly been downloaded 9 million times and those were stats from a couple of days ago.
Problems arise in that people can add targets and beacons, luring others to false leads.

It was damn near me today. Some moron in Pasadena, CA zipped a right turn in front of me, damn near took off my left front fender, rounded the corner and pulled to curb, and as I passed I could see that damned game on his phone.
100 yards from my humble abode are gathered about 50 people staring at their phones. I never believed in a zombie invasion...until now. It’s out-of-control here. It’s official. I’ve now seen it all.
