My Fighting Season’ Review: Bands of Brothers in Afghanistan
WSJ ^ | 7 July 2016 | NANCY DEWOLF SMITH

Combat never looked more real or sounded louder than in this docuseries with helmet-camera film shot by U.S. soldiers at war with the Taliban.... The six episodes on DirecTV of the Afghan War docuseries “My Fighting Season” revolve around combat footage shot by members of the U.S. Army. From the July 5 episode’s opening explosion and shout of “F—ing Christ!” to the cascade of rifle-shell casings flying inches from a helmet camera during a firefight in an alley with unseen Taliban gunmen, the action feels 100% authentic because it is....

Now and then the tension is broken. Once, it’s by the joy of a makeshift pizza party in a desolate observation post. Another time, it’s by a Czech Army sniper who’s been wounded during a joint operation with the Americans. Sprawled on his back in the dust as a medic tightens a tourniquet on his thigh, the Czech stiffens with pain. But seeing the camera, he looks up and makes a universally understood gesture, smiling as he announces in accented English: “Fack the Taliban.”

assembled footage taken by various units of soldiers who also narrate accounts of memorable missions.

When our USMC Infantry son was in Anbar, Someone had (?) maliciously ordered(we think he failed to logout of his account on a public hotspot?) a HUGE , at the time 3TB external storage.
Communication being difficult, we paid and sent it to him.

He passed it around to any and all to upload photos and video!!! A few hundred hours of video and more!

While I’d like to read the entire column, I think it was around the year 2000 when the WSJ embraced open borders and I canceled my dead tree subscription.

The Wall Street Journal was calling for an amendment to the Constitution stating “There shall be open borders” in July, 1984.

Try googling the title or key phrase select news.

Also try other search engines.

Goog and others pay to get you past the wall, so that hopefully you will use their products.

I was hoping to see some evidence, not some blogger talking about it, but thanks anyway.

'If Washington still wants to "do something" about immigration, we propose a five-word constitutional amendment: There shall be open borders.'

It come from their famous op ed 'In Praise of Huddled Masses'.

"Source?"

Here's one:

"The Wall Street Journal, like Murdoch, is decidedly open borders. In 1984, the WSJ editorial board wrote, 'If Washington still wants to ‘do something’ about immigration, we propose a five-word constitutional amendment: There shall be open borders.'"

Thanks. Looks like the WSJ was in favor of legal immigration, back then. What a shocker.
