Joakim Noah on banning guns, ‘Warrior’ Tebow and a Knicks title
New York Post ^ | July 9, 2016 | Steve Serby

Posted on 07/09/2016 4:39:01 PM PDT by conservative98

New Knicks big man Joakim Noah blocked out some time for some Q&A with Post columnist Steve Serby.

[cut]

Q: If you were president of the United States, you would … A: I would make it illegal to buy guns.

Q: What are your views on what’s been happening this past week? A: This past week? … This past decade? Or this past … forever? My views haven’t really changed much. It’s just very sad what’s going on in this country. Not just the police brutality, that’s getting a lot of the headlines right now, but just kids killing kids, and kids having access to automatic rifles, and school shootings. … It’s just disappointing that these laws aren’t changing. It’s almost like you hear all these things, and you almost become numb to the realities. This is not normal. They have to change the laws. They have to change the gun laws.

Q: It’s sad what this country is going through. A: This is the best country in the world. The most open-minded country in the world. Freedom of speech, you can say whatever you want. There’s so many great things about this country. I’ve traveled the world. I’ve lived in a lot of different countries … but this gun violence is out of control, and they need to do something about it.

He left out a sentence:

Freedom of speech, you can say whatever you want. Even the most stupid $h|+ imaginable, like I just did.

Annnnnd THAT’S why your aging self is paid to throw a ball. Simple rules, simple shapes, simple physics. It doesn’t task your aging brain too terribly much.

You work about throwing a ball, and leave the politics up to others.

Joakim, thank you for giving us two national titles, but you’ve still got a lot to learn.

So, mister ball bouncer, tell us more about “kids having access to automatic rifles.”

Joakim seems like a nice enough fellow, but my guess is the reporter sort of knew how he would answer the questions on guns. “Take them all away!” The rest of the interview is rather perfunctory.

Joakim comes from a family of professional athletes and competitors.
His dad Yannick Noah was a Pro. tennis player in France.
His mom, Cecilia Rodhe, was Miss Sweden in 1978.
Joakim has duel citizenships in both France and Sweden.
So, it does not boggle the mind to see him take the progressive side of these issues.

I’ll give him credit for saying nice things about Tebow.

If I was president, I would make it mandatory for people who bounce balls for a living only be paid the minimum wage.

Fine....then he can give us his armed security and his team can give up their armed security.

Yes. His statements were well thought out and considerate.
So if Joakim is Tim’s age of 28, that’s getting up there for most players. We shall see. Some want to hold onto that starring role as long as possible. Can’t say I blame them.

Geez, people have been murdering each other WITHOUT GUNS ever since Cain killed Abel. No gun there, I assume.

Guns make it EASIER to kill, but then so do bombs and fire (arson).

What's worse is that THIS country gives those folks SCHOLARSHIPS for doing so. NOW, some of those colleges and universities give CHITTIES, that is, the funds to REALLY go college and get a real degree...after the athlete leaves that university.
Problem is: many of them still read and write at the second grade level. It would be crash and burn for them to "compete" with anything OTHER than a ball...as in brains.

No other country on the planet give young folks a college or university education for good "ball bouncing/hitting" etc.
We are unique in that.

should have been this for followup:

Q: If it were made illegal, would you still feel the need to obtain a gun illegally, for self-protection? ... A: Uh, duh, yuh, I probably would. Because self-protection is my right.

He can haul his gun-grabbing black butt back to France, where guns are mostly banned but the terrorists have no problems getting them.

And where do we buy these “automatic rifles” this low IQ loon speaks of?

He speaks with complete ignorance of the subject.

He doesn’t know what he doesn’t know.

His entire life, he has been fed lies on this subject, so to him, it seems simple.

I bet that no one has ever explained the other side to him, and that he would be amazed that an “other side” even existed!

This is all about the power of Orwellian thought control.

Is he wanting to bring back the Black Codes and Slave Codes that forbade black people from even touching a firearm?
