Yes, the current administration's minions are burrowing deep into the ranks at the State Department and DOJ, with the intention of frustrating attempts to kill ongoing programs and policies set in place by the Obama cabal. Trump better be ready to roll up his sleeves.
Retired commissioned officers can be recalled to active duty if the national need is great enough. This applies to the Regular Army, not sure about retired reservists like me. I’m 68 & not a physician so I guess I will remain assigned to Fort Livingroom.

You use the same tactic as is used to combat the "Peter Principle" (i.e. people who have been promoted to their level of incompetence in an organization).
You "kick them upstairs," meaning you promote them out of their current positions, give them a new promotional title and a small raise, and then assign them new meaningless responsibilities that keep them busy with out negatively impacting the organization until they either quit or retire.
It is a given in any transition from one president to another that every appointed position will submit their resignation in anticipation that the new president will replace them with another person.
I’m pretty sure that goes down to the deputy undersecretary to the secretary.
In addition, surveys indicate that 20% of federal workers will leave their positions when Obama leaves office (which doesn’t really sound like that much different than any other transition from a Democrat to Republican president (or vice versa.)
So to the first part, most of them are leaving anyway.
I have zero expectation that Trump will purge Muslims from federal positions. No do I think that the courts would permit any mass firings of people based on their religious beliefs or affiliations with racial supremacy groups like The Brotherhood or La Raza.
I do think a lot of them will be dismissed anyway, or reassigned to desk jockey positions of little influence, not because of the above, but because their job performance up until now has been measured in how good they are doing in ensuring there’s no transgender phobia within their ranks, or how many rainbow safe spaces are in each office.
Reevaluation of job performance in light of, well, how well they perform in their position doing their actual job is a valid metric in dismissing or reassigning a vast number of people.
Would I personally like to see membership in any death cult grounds for immediate pulling of any security clearances? Yes, I would. But honestly, I think Trump will have more than enough on his hands dealing with all the myriad of policies that Obama has put in place that this won’t happen.
Technically, I think they're gone before the new president is inaugurated - unless asked to stay on. The assistant administrators and such (non-appointees) take over until a new boss is designated.
In this case, a pile of czars get to pack and GTFO, too.
Trump needs to crush the lib media. Hit them where they live and destroy them.
Bush the younger burrowed his appointees into the civil service (while his appointees still had the power to make hiring decisions). It may be that some of Obama’s appointees pursue the same track if they come to understand that their skill set is not a hot commodity or if they are planning to sabotage the incoming administration.
Try to revise the 1965 Immigration Act which has put us in danger in many ways both eminent danger and long term cultural danger. If he can’t do this in the first term, I am sure that as leader of the executive branch he can slow down immigration and maybe slow down third world immigration because it certainly seems that the immigration standards today favor anyone who is not a European. I am sure that people working at immigration at told to fast track the third world people and slow down first world people. Look at how the “Syrian refugees” are being handled, it is just a ruse to bring in hoards of muslims but they are keeping out the Middle East Christian population that is being targeted for genocide. This administration is as bigoted as hell.

I don’t know what percentage of civil servants are Democrats as opposed to Republican but I know one thing—the rules only apply to Republicans. Democrats always strong arm their way to get what they want.
Those clowns have not been there forever nor will they be there forever.

Selective enforcement has been a hallmark of this administration, and that probably goes all the way down the food chain. Now once official indulgence of people who consistently run afoul of the civil service rules is removed, you can expect a ton of firings. Thing is though, that could result in an optics nightmare if not a civil rights case or three.
The thing to do probably is to establish clear expectations and proceed in an even-handed and transparent fashion, which fortunately is a thing Trump seems to excel at.
Basically, when the political correctness stops, the kid gloves come off. They screw up, they’re in jail or deported. The mosques will be monitored with the same ease as a Christian church can be monitored...any sign of radicalization, and the doors are shut and they turn it into a Dollar Store. But the most amazing change will be at the very top ... no Muslim sympathizers in high places. Trump will strip them out of those high posts and things will start to return to normal. CAIR will be (and in some places is now) consider a Muslim KKK. Without political correctness, they will have lost there edge in taking over the USA.
