Actually the rule is probably NO DIVING. These days they hate diving. In public it’s often not allowed.
Further evidenced by the fact there are no “diving” boards alloewed for sale anymore! They are ALL short pointless “springboards” or something. Mere platfirms.
Glad my parents still have their old long board. They must’ve bought this 2nd one in 40 years just before the ban.

I remember the first time I climbed up on a high dive. I was 10 and at first it scared the you know what out of me. But, with encouragement from my dear old dad, I made up my mind to go ahead and jump and I actually felt a little foolish for being so scared in the first place. Now there’s very few public pools with high dives anymore.
