Leftists hate the Second Amendment. They’re no longer hiding it. But they’re going to have a tough time just writing it out of existence. Therefore they’re attempting to dismantle it piece by piece, using this favorite talking point: the Amendment is for the militia and the militia only. Except… no. Learn something below…

The bill of rights pertains to every person within the country without exception. All you have to do is look at the context of each amendment.

In other words, the Founders thought it necessary to pass an amendment in order to allow the military to bear arms.

I love the 2nd is for the militia. Really? they needed an amendment that said armies could be armed. Until that point, armies had not been armed? It is a ridiculous argument.
All of the first ten articles enumerate individual freedoms and protections and limits of government. It is ridiculous to suggest that the second is there to ensure arming a militia or army. furthermore, it is silly to suggest that the thing they thought second most important was hunting and recreating.
The second amendment is for one purpose and one purpose only:
“When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another. . . .”
