Three people in the US have been charged after a 14-year-old Amish girl was "given" to a much older man who had helped her parents financially, police say.
Lee Kaplan, 51, was arrested at a house in Pennsylvania on Thursday over the sexual assault of a teenager. Twelve girls, ranging in age from six months to 18 years, were found at the property.

Exactly, like when I hear of a moslem or Mormon with 4 wives, all I can think is “knock yourself out pal”, better you than me.
At least one of the girls was given to him by her parents, as a gift or debt payment. This guy had helped the parents out of some financial problems. So to thank him, they gave him their daughter.
I know, shocking, but that’s the story behind at least one of the girls.
